In the three (or is it four?) promos we have seen, there does not seem to be a whole lot of catfighting and focus on contestant drama as one usually expects. The critics of Chris would say this is a sign that his season will be B-O-R-I-N-G... and I'll buy that as a possibility. His won't be the only season that is. Yet it does appear that somebody in the editing room wants us to think the casting department actually "screened" the ladies this time.

I am so thankful we have no ridiculous shower scenes... making you think the Bachelor is still "on the market".

This was featured on Nightly News last night: After watching this, I can understand why there might be contrived drama. Real life does not bring ratings.

The basic allegation is that there is some type of ugly twist at the finale that will make Chris more hated that Juan P. The allegation is that RS is implying that something "horrible" will happen that is "shocking."
I can't imagine what it would be, Whitney has indicated that she came on the show because it was him in the intro (if that is her voice) so she will say yes when he asks. I think everyone agrees that he WILL ask after the JP non-proposal, so is it something horrible for Becca Tilley?  
If this has any basis in fact(speculation) where are they getting it? I have read  RS columns and tweets, I don't see that he is implying anything horrible happening: what am I missing?

I hope it's not a case of what stays in the fantasy suite doesn't stay in the fantasy suite. They can't play that card again can they?

I'm thinking it's the typical, F2/F3 is lead to believe they are the one scenario, which then leads into the drama of the broken hearted potential bacheloertte.

Well... we got the pregnancy gag in one of the promos. Should we take it seriously?

I can't believe it would be anything that horrible either. Chris was portrayed as "the gentleman" in Andi's season so I don't think TP would trash this season, especially after Juan Pablo's lack luster ending. If Chris knew early on it was Whitney, and by the date before HTD's with the mural of he and Whitney, I'm guessing he did, I would have to speculate it's something just for drama.

Whether or not production likes a lead or portrays them to be a great person doesn't matter to production. What matters to them is drama and good ratings. They had no issue taking sweet Ashley and making her come off as a bum for letting Ben propose. They promoted Andi as a great lead too and they had no issue with her taking flak for leading Nick on. They certainly loved Juan Pablo in the beginning and promoted him as the greatest bachelor to date and granted, much of it was his fault, but they had no issue with showing it off and making matters worse.

They can promote and portray Chris as a gentleman and the "All American" type, but if something good comes up throughout the season that production can use for their benefit (drama and ratings) they will do it. Chris can still be shown as a great guy throughout the season, have something dramatic happen at the end, and get engaged to Whitney and everyone will be happy with how the season turned out.

Chris has two very out there and interesting ladies in his F4. I wouldn't be surprised if something does happen, but at the same time, production loves to make everything larger than what it really is.

Also, I would hope Chris learned something from what happened last season with what Andi did to Nick.....Don't do anything that you don't want "out there"

^^In following the link, it leads back to two articles with this rumor - on WetPaint and Stir.  The WetPaint article is really poorly written, referencing both Reality Steve's F1 spoiler and a tongue-in-cheek mention that the "shocking" part about the finale is that they drag the final girls back to Iowa instead of staying in tropical Bali.

There's no mention of the finale being anything out of the ordinary on RS' twitter or site.  This may be a case of the telephone game, with the Examiner and Stir sites expanding on a poorly worded WetPaint entry.

None of those sources (Wetpaint, Examiner or Stir) do any original work. They just repackage and really don't care about accuracy. Best to not even click on them.

RS hasn't said anything about it being horrible for Chris.

Now, he has said Jade's life is going to be hell when the season airs. But, knowing her, she'll probably like the negative attention.
