I think he could be there to be on the MTA to speak to all of the conflict with the guys and it allows TPTB to gauge via audience reaction and SM reaction if people start softening toward Nick.  If so, he could be a choice for the next Bach.  And that could be a reason they were in Milwaukee with him filming a bachelor promo.  

IF this is the case, then I would have to assume he would be edited favourably during the MTA episode, we would see more support for him as opposed to guys coming at him.

IF he is attending the MTA we will know pretty quickly after that episode if the TB is just a shot in the dark, as if they continue to negatively edit him, IMO there is no way he would be TB.

Again I will still be pretty surprised if TPTB asked him.

    Nick as bachelor reminds me of something Sharleen said in an interview.  She said the only way she would be the bachelorette would be if they allowed her to cut everyone except for a very small number of guys.  She would then just date each one of them until the end.
Would certainly solve the GD issue.

I would for them to try to switch up the formula a bit, I doubt they would but it would be nice if they would.

I still want two bachelors together, but I doubt that would happen either.

I think he would make a really good Bach. Am I alone in this? I loved Reid and really wanted him to take the lead role, I hope Nick does if they're able to rehab his image.

Personally, I would love this concept!  It is time to change the way they do this show in my opinion.  Really, who cares how a large group of guys get along together on a group date?  Other reality shows change things up, why can't this show?

Also, I think your previous post offering the explanation that he could be there in one location to see his friends from the show with ease both in terms of logistics and financially is also a good one.  With the passing of Eric, it would be a good time to cement friendships because of opportunity.  Sometimes you don't get that second opportunity ala Eric.

   the current format of the show is interesting for a few epis however after that, for me, it becomes formulaic on most dates.  I do think, like Sharleen said, a large percentage of faithful viewers like to know what to expect.  I can't really see TPTB ditching the current format.  They could, however, keep playing with their offspring - BP, now BIP, perhaps next something like what Sharleen talked about to replace the former two.

Everyone sleeping or at least enjoying hopefully sunny Saturday. Well first:
Good Day to you all!

I read this morning the comments in different threads, of course every time the other side presents their own reasons to believe in their right, I start doubting if what I've seen so far is really what has been there or because I want to see them like that... I went back and watched initial episodes ... and then I remembered why I can't let go of this thought, no matter how absurd it might sound to most and despite numerous spoilers, that are hard to dismiss as not being real.
*attention: might contain high dose of sarcasm*

I didn't start watching this show from day 1. Now I'm not even sure which week it was when I decided, that I'd like to watch something "light&fun" and non-committal (thinking of TV series), with not too many episodes, just enough to get me through one day in the bed. Maybe the 5th or 6th episode was supposed to air. I scrolled down the names of uploaded series on this website where I search for streamed TV shows ... and saw The Special The Bachelorette ... so I found the links to all of the episodes and I skipped the 1st, thinking, that one is probably boring, because guys just introduce themselves, nothing really interesting there to see ... and I watched 2nd episode first. Maybe the whole thing was enough interesting to me, because I couldn't do anything else beside reading and surfing online. So I stuck till the end, then I saw Nick's "popping date card" and his very genuine conversation of "what are you looking for?" and "what you think you haven't found?" ... and that's when this guy caught my eye. Because those are the questions I was always asking myself, "What makes the difference that can change even most formed convictions?" ... Like when for years you believe that marriage is not for you and you don't want/need to get married and then you meet a guy and it just feels right and you don't mind the ring on a finger.
Anyway ... that episode continues ... and a minute later we see Andi kissing the first guy, Josh. To me it appeared natural, but too fast to make it exciting, so I didn't put much importance to it, while some might see it as "a love at first sight". And so I watched the rest of the episodes in order till The Special. Mostly observing Nick, his behavior, his character and change, in him, in her and the whole "game" ... it got elevated. The questions, the answers, getting to know each-others' thoughts, beliefs, fears and weaknesses, always one step forward, one more stone in the mosaic ... it was more than just interesting, there was an appeal, slightly sensual, but never overdone sexy, just enough to leave you curious and with a need of more. I already could picture them together.

Then I remembered... I'm watching this show called TB, where the edit is always impeccable, where they wrap the story into one nice enigmatic problem, when they conduct the viewers into the labyrinth game ...

and that's when I said to myself ... that's not gonna happen ... Nick can't be F1, it's too obvious, they wouldn't just let me see the story, they would try to hide it in different layers, so that it would still be present, but not evident...

so I came here to join the conversation, because I really liked Nick and was a bit sad that he won't be getting "the happy ending" ...
but then I was hit by the news ... I actually fell into the spoiled section by accident and got to see the video first...
and it made total sense ... yeap, it only confirmed what I was already thinking ... Nick cannot be F1. It is most definitely Josh. The chemistry is there, that's how it's gonna go.

But something bugged me. If Josh is F1, I would have no problem say that I see a nice development of their story hidden behind doubts and fears. But, I can't. I don't see a story. I see doubts, I see fears, I see chemistry, I see them laughing and having fun together. But I don't hear and feel their relationship to be on a solid ground and progressing. (I will stop now from any further explanation, since this is not Josh's thread).

To sum it up ... it is just plain simple ... it's not much of an interesting story to watch.
Yes, they are beautiful people, nice on the eyes, they are good characters, which I'm sure plenty of people would like to be around. But everything is pretty casually told. And even for TPTB, who likes to hide the obvious, wouldn't hide all the interesting stuff about someone's relationship that much, to make it so one-dimensional, so superficial, that leaves all the attraction of soul outside.

Then I cruised around the forum, I read other sites, saw all the promotional material, TV interviews (Jimmy Kimmel, that's one to watch) ... and one constant thing that has been "sold" in the media is "Josh being F1".

That's when it clicked ... even if the viewers aren't aware of the big spoiler ... they are still persuaded to believe the spoiled version. Because that's all they "sell". With the edit, with the 'adverts'.
So ... if everyone is being told that Josh is F1, if every media is reporting only about their chemistry, if someone leaked the big spoiler (and I don't even want to continue bugging my brains with How is it possible and how it happened?) confirming who F1 is ...

wouldn't the most obvious suddenly become just a delusional story?

So delusional, that the people would laugh in the guy's face, because he was so convinced to be her favorite (the roses suddenly don't matter), to be the frontrunner (the number of 1on1 dates isn't important), to be chosen at the end (because, c'mon dude, have you looked yourself in the mirror, you have no chance with Andi! She's a total babe ... you 2 just don't fit, physically! You are not promoted as a sexy beast  ... just a c****y one.) ... and even more delusional to think he's gonna marry her (because seriously people, who would want to marry someone after only 10 weeks of dating?) ...

Now if someone would need to explain to me at the beginning how this show works, how the process works, how things proceed from week to week... I'm sure I would be told, that the girl gives the roses (their petals are on every promo material), takes the guys on dates (and 1on1s are even more special), at the end chooses the guy with whom she built a connection and lived "a bubbled relationship" and he proposes (with every intention to get married). That would be the concept of the show, right?

It's funny how this talk about marriage echoes ... usually in connotation with Nick ... it just stays on the tip of the tongue ... lingers.

Yeah, call me delusional, or adrenalin junkie that's heading right into abyss.
But it just makes me happy, happy to watch a really passionate story ...

   i agree! The information that has been shown/leaked out is definitely stacked against Nick which I think is exactly what TPTB are going for. This season I am definitely more willingly NOT to dismiss the maybe/maybe not subtle hints because last year I was sooooo sure based on the spoilers and blatant hints that it was Brooks. I was convinced that even when he left Des at F3 that he would be back. (It's ok though, I think it ended up the way it is suppose to be because the way Brooks likes to travel and do adventurous things it is better as he looks so happy and then Des is happy so while I will always be TeamBres it is good to see both happy. I'd rather that then have to hear about them breaking up amidst different lifestyle preferences.) Sorry Brooks kind of hi-jacked my mind a moment, anyway after last season I've taken the "grain of salt" approach with this season. Last season they showed the blatant/obvious love story and then promoted it as the outcome in the media/show only to give the other outcome and I think maybe this season their again promoting the blatant/obvious love story and then trying to hide the outcome by releasing information that would be contrary to the obvious love story being the outcome at the end.

Do you think they would let him go to LA to MTA to party with that tape out and anything?  I think if he was just going there to hang with the guys and get pictures taken all over, they would be like: can you cool it bc you already spoiled our ending.

I think he might be appearing on the MTA ala Courtney.  Which I would love because it's just more screen time of him.

While I'm not against more screen for TrickyNicky I don't want to see these guys bash/attack him again over things that I didn't perceive as him being wrong. He never started fights, they always started fights with him. I don't think he has anything to really answer to like Courtney did. The last thing I want is to see Cody get to whine and chastize Nick for hurting his poor widdle feelwings. Now if they were to bring Nick on so all the guys could apologize to him for being such 5 yr old little pansies then by all means put him in the hot seat. I could also see them letting him party with the guys despite the tape especially if they want to further fuel the Nick as F2 fire since people now assume anyone still on the show but is seen at MTA/party must not be the F1. I personally don't think that has anything to with anything, and I could be totally wrong, but I thought back during Emily's season both Jef and Arie were in LA during the MTA stuff. Anyhoo I think it is possible to be in LA, be seen at the Grove, possibly at an after party and then sneak away for a little alone time with the gal....
