At this point in filming, I still think Nick was ahead with Andi. Their relationship was farther along and on more levels. I can't help but feel like Nick is who she should be with, but a Josh "trophy husband" type is what she feels is sort of expected of her from her family, if that makes any sense. It's unspoken, but she wants to make her parents proud, happy, etc. When they meet Josh their approval will be instant.

^^^Thank you, thank you, thank you!  THIS is what I've been trying to summarize, but every time I sat down to type a post, I couldn't figure out how to put my gut feelings into the proper words.  What you described here, the "trophy husband", the expectations of her family, this is the exact same vibe I've gotten about her.  I think that finding a tall, dark, handsome, well-off, (locally?)-famous athlete who is related to (nationally?)-famous brother athlete, fits the STATUS that Andi feels she should achieve.  Don't get me wrong...I know that finding a local guy to fall in love with would make their lives a lot easier and make it more likely that they could make at go at the relationship.  I also think Andi and Josh have a great deal in common.  But, I am of the opinion that Andi and Josh may be too much alike and therefore butt heads, and I am also of the opinion that Andi is under great pressure from her family's (especially father's) expectations that she will not only find a nice wealthy, stand-up guy, but also a guy who brings with him a certain cache and status.  Mr Dorfman wants someone of his echelon for his daughter.  Nick and Marcus don't bring that status with them.  Chris may be a millionaire, but he is a rural farmer who probably isn't into the glitchy circles, so Andi would not be able to continue living the lifestyle that she is accustomed to (she'd have the money to buy the clothes, shoes, travel--but her inlaws and MIL don't look like they are the sort to be materialistic or concered one iota over status).  Josh is the one who can bring all of those things and the increased status (and by relation, his echelon would rise too).  Can't you just picture him bragging about his SIL because he's blah blah blah (and by blah blah blah I don't mean kind, sweet, caring.  Even if he is all of those things, it is the status, the echelon, the cache that Mr Dorfman will focus on with his golfing buddies.).  We are about to see a huge HTD lovefest.  And if you don't think that Andi's parents are going to have a huge say in who she picks, then you're really not watching this show, this family, this Bachelorette.  Money, power, status---she craves it all.  See, education can get you money.  Money and hard work can get you to a position of power. But status is the tricky one.  It's like being part of the Popular Clique in HS; it's all about who you know or who you date (or in this case, marry). JMHO

re: the picture of Nick with Kat Hurd and her friend. I have 2 thoughts….

1. If they planned to go out and meet them….he isn't F1.
2. If he and the other Nick were just out and bumped into them, then it means nothing. He actually looked sheepish, standing there with hands in pockets.

Nick S. Tweeted him and NickV said he would swing by after work.  NickS knew both Christy and Kat would be there, so I assume NickV did as well.  Look ar Nick Sutter's tweets. Btw, both of the girls are in close contact with Andi. One of them is promoting Chris as F1, I think it is Kat.

I didn't think Nick was F1 anyway…..unless he knows Andi is friends with them and decided it was ok to meet them.

We can dislike whatever we want to over what is being shown in the show/edit and his tweets.
The bottom line is JJ, Brian, Chris, Marquel,(did I forget someone?) all nice guys have come out over and over again showing friendship, support and bro-love for Nick. They could have kept silent.

He spoiled the season

No, the person who filmed him without his knowledge, videotaped it, sent it to RS and RS himself for posting it on his site, is who spoiled the season. And I'm sorry but anyone can avoid being spoiled. People didn't HAVE to go to RS's site or read anything about the season because I know for a fact from reading some sites that there are many people who have zero clue who wins the season. It will forever amaze me that Nick gets blamed for having a private conversation with family, when he was upset and likely just wanted to talk to someone who knows him, cares about him and some random weirdo who clearly has way too much time on their hand films him without his consent and makes it public. Amazing...

Josh doesn't seem like the jealous type but Nick's behavior in the house leads me to believe he's rather chummy with the green eyed monster. Especially when it came to Josh.

This would be the same Josh who told Andi he did not like seeing her go out with other guys, did not want her spending time with other guys and in one of his talking heads said he hated group dates and did not enjoy them, which was no different than Nick's feelings. The biggest difference I've seen is that Josh did not let those feelings and opinions known to the other guys so Nick, who blatantly said, "yeah, I hate group dates, I don't care about your date with Andi" got labeled the bad guy and villain.

And I really don't get this "Nick was so jealous of Jock Josh who reminded him of all the guys in high school" or whatever has been said since before this week's deleted scene, I haven't seen Nick mention or talk about Josh much at all on the show. Most of his comments seemed to pretty much lump all the guys together and pretty much was consistent in not thinking any of them had a chance with Andi because he was sure she would pick him. I didn't see much singling out of anyone and definitely not Josh.

I am checking in today because something has come up in my personal life and I will not be able to continue to spend the time sleuthing on here as I would like to. (Nothing really tragic but it is still significant enough that it will require me to be away) I do however, want to post my thoughts up to this point and wish all the rest of you fun for the remainder of the sleuthing journey.

Right after the season finished filming- and before videogate started- a source whom I have trusted in the past- and who was accurate at that time- told me that Josh was not the F1 but was being considered to be the next Bachelor. Having sleuthed up to that point with ya'll that Nick and Josh were the final 2, I therefore assumed that Nick was F1.  (I wish I would learn and NOT do that dumb assume thing.  ) I have a friend on here with whom I made a friendly wager and posted that on here at the time - "I think Nick is F1" and if I lost, I would make good on my bet to her. And I would have to eat a huge plate of crow  :eatingcrow:   Honestly, I was pretty confident with the info from my source.
Then came the plane video.
And hence we have the pages and pages of opinions, ideas, theories, waffling and sleuthing since then.
So many possibilities but were they actual probabilities?
At this time I am thinking probably not.

After sleuthing as much as I could, from as many different angles as I could, I am now 99% percent sure that Nick is not F1 and that Josh is. Thanks to my dumb tendency to assume too quickly, I will now have to 'pay up' to my friend, with a smile, all the while eating crow. (However, not doling it out until after the finale. )

And of course, I promised her I would apologize publicly since I made my declaration publicly.
So this is my public apology for getting it wrong.  :iamsorry: 
My apologies to you all based upon the 99% of confidence I now believe that Nick is not F1.  
To those of you who still hope that Nick is F1, my 1% lingers with you because it 'ain't over till it's over' and the proverbial fat lady sings. (Don't stop sleuthing just because I have to.)

As well, this 'card-holding member' of the 'Haus Fraus' will also eat an other crow and say that RS was right.    
I know, how could I!!  :shocked: But fair is far, credit to where credit is due.
Till next season anyways...  


I was looking so forward to sleuthing those FDs with ya'll to see who got the most expensive suite, etc.  I will miss that - my favourite part of being on here - sleuthing places and SCs    

To wrap it up, as I have said in earlier posts, I like Andi as the Bachelorette. I think her final 6 guys were all awesome guys in their own right. I am wishing ALL the best to Andi and her F1 - whom I  assume is Josh right now ( did I just do that again ???!!)

PS. All the best to Nick. He has a great personality (despite the edit)  and I am sure that he will survive this experience and come out of this with a deeper understanding of himself, his talents and his potential.
