Chris Soules is taking the dating process on The Bachelorette “very seriously”

This season of The Bachelorette has not been without its fair share of drama. In fact, it can seem at times like this crop of men fight more than the ladies of The Bachelor. While some hash it out over racial issues or girlfriends back home, Chris Soules has been steering clear of the drama – a move that has been working quite well for him thus far.

“There’s been some difficult discussions,” Chris told That’s Your Reality today. “For me, if I were to step in, it would be because it was because things weren’t handled properly. For the most part, I think it’s been handled maybe with a little anger but at the end of the day, they’ve been handled and dealt with in a way that makes progress.” A question that often plagues The Bachelorette is whether or not everyone is there for the right reasons, and Andi has certainly doubted a few of her suitors. Chris told us that, from day one, he was excited to meet and potentially fall in love with Andi. “I’m looking for the right person and this venue allowed me the opportunity to meet someone who was really spectacular and somebody I could see myself with,” said the 32-year-old. “It’s a weird environment to meet somebody and the feelings have evolved very quickly. I’m taking it very seriously.”

Coming up next week, Andi will continue the dating process in one of the most romantic countries in the world, Italy. After feeling a little left out, Nick will get a chance to spend some quality time with The Bachelorette. Six of the guys will head to the quiet town of Monselice to soak up some culture, and Cody finally gets his chance to prove to Andi that there can be a romantic connection between them. The Bachelorette airs Mondays at 8pm ET on ABC.
