Leopoldo López, one of the main leaders of the opposition and a committed fighter for a prosper Venezuela, celebrates his 43rd birthday today in Ramo Verde, a military jail in Venezuela, after being wrongly accused by the government for "inciting violence" in our country.

On February 13th, Venezuela's Attorney General issued an arrest warrant to Leopoldo López for "murder and terrorist acts", following anti-government demonstrations that he convened earlier that month. During these protests, the lives of three students were taken by pro-goverment armed forces, and Maduro decided to blame López instead of his allies, for the violence that occurred during those days. After this, in an effort to show that the protesters are open to peaceful dialogue, he decided to surrender to the representatives of the National Guard on February 18th 2014. "Today, I hand myself in to an injustice justice" - Leopoldo Lopez, Plaza Brión, Venezuela.
