LOL!!! AllAboutLove its really silly if you come to think of it, My husband just could not comprehend why I am stressing out for people on TV that I do not even know. I am happy to know I am not alone in this craze of mine. I really cannot picture Louise too. If you look at the last farewell of HTD, he did not seem that emotional or even an indication that Louise is anything special to him. She was doing all the sweet talking. I suspect its only Sam who can cause the upset. But what do you think about Sam farewell. I sensed that there is some awkwardness when they parted. Both Blake and Sam were like following a script. What do you think?

I think that, when Sam said, "It is what it is" (she says this at 26:42)

Sam was referring to the process of them both loving each other but having to go through these next steps to get to where they already are.

Don't get me wrong, I definitely feel Blake has "Strong feelings" (as he says himself) for Lisa and Louise but I think that is part because he spends time away from Sam and he is coached and encouraged to explore having feelings with Lisa and Louise, and he is, at his core, a sensitive soul having been raised by women and so he has a lot of empathy for them. Also, he feels obligated (as he has said in an interview) "not to string anyone along but give them my attention and give them a chance, my best effort".

So, because he is contractually obligated to show interest in other girls, I think he decided early on that he would be as earnest and sincere about it as possible. But like he said to Sam "if they [her family] can read me anywhere near as well as you can, then I don't think I'd have any worries at all...." He is saying that Sam knows him, she can 'read' him.

Regarding Sam being able to "read" him, Blake says this to Sam here... (just click play as I set it to start at 30:04 but he says it around 30:44. And no, this is not my channel. Not sure who is posting... but still appreciative..)

I think that him saying Sam can 'read' him means he cannot hide anything from her and so her anguish/confusion/hesitancy during their goodbye after her HTD I think had more to do with being upset he had to go through with being with the other girls, meeting their families even though he tells her she is essentially the one.

And I think Sam wrestles with wishing he could just say to heck with it, let's just leave this thing (her heart's wishing) and understanding Blake has to show a real effort with the other girls (her mind's reasoning)... coupling this with basic insecurity about the process in general we can see that this is Sam's and Blake's dilemma on their journey on the show together..

(Sidenote: I find it interesting that Sam is the only one who expresses how upset and concerned she is about the Blake being with other girls. This indicates her feelings toward him are very deep and real as that is a normal reaction for someone that is in love).

Sammy I will pass on my advise that I give myself every season of the bachelorette, it's the 80/20 rule. I will stay 80% positive that Sam is the F1 will be and keep 20% for disappointment. To that effect, I will most likely still fall of my chair if Sam is not the F1 and I may even do some :headbanging for a while giggling

I have a question: does anyone know if Blake asked any of the girls other than Sam if they think they have found love? Assuming Sam is the only person Blake asked this question of and obviously nervous before he asked her, why in the world would the producers leave the clip in there for all to see. I just re-watched that scene again from the clip that AllAboutLove posted above and it's so obvious that Blake was already in love with Sam at that point and was using that question to gauge if she felt the same about him hence why he was nervous asking the question to begin with. Thoughts?

Regarding the bold...

Sammy24, If you read any of my (very long) previous posts in this thread I too have said this. In fact, I went so far as to say it is basically the "Blake and Sam" show.

I concur with Mercieme, in that I too will fall off my chair and pick up my heart. All my posts will be for naught and I will have to re examine my whole ability to analyse effectively, even with edited scripted shows. This will be the first time I will be wrong concerning a F1 in these shows if it is not Sam. But, there's that 20% that I will just have to chalk up to wishful thinking on my part, which may explain why I am so ridiculously invested in this particular season (because of Sam and Blake). Honestly, I nearly fell off my chair already when I found out they were going to South Africa for the FRC since I am South African.

Help me, Lord, if this is not Sam and Blake's end of their fairy tale... Haha.

i watched back louise's first 1-1 date and found it fascinating that they were laughing hard the whole time and having a blast...i wonder where the disconnect is for her not to fully "get" him and vice versa when they have a great banter...it seems he has that good fun time with all F3 (with lisa we've heard from the other girls how they're always looking at each other and laughing) I'm really curious the reasons he picks his F1 cos they all offer similar things in different ways...

Sam is the only one he has asked this question to. In fact, he asks her a ton of very personalized pronoun based questions:

In the end "You and I" (Yacht Group Date)
Picture "us" (Fairy Tale Date)
Feel in the very least, what I feel for you (HTD goodbye scene)
and of course... the many times he says.. "falling for you" "really falling" ... constantly falling.

Fine. I am changing my title for the show from the "The Blake and Sam Show" to "When Blake Kept Falling For Sam".

If this doesn't work out... I will just rename it to "When I Fell For Sam+Blake" ... pffttt.. I'm pathetic.. haha

AllAboutLove, I am with you!!! But hey, this is the fun part, we get to guess and outsmart the producers and the best part is that there are no legitimate spoilers out there to ruin the sleuthing and it's all you wonderful sleuthers that are calling the shot on this season. I am going to take a chance on your unbroken record so far of picking out the F1. You almost have this one in the bag as well, just 3 more days!!!!

Love this Emusha. You have posted in the media thread so you have probably viewed a lot of Blake's interviews (I think Jackie and Kyle show come to mind). What I noticed immediately is that Blake has an innate ability to banter with ANYONE, especially females. Again, I attribute this to being raised by and surrounded by females early in his life. He definitely has an ability to *tune in* to someone else and he likes to have fun and banter. It's why some viewers think Blake is the same with all the girls (because his personality is the same with most of them).

I also believe this is why I noticed immediately there is something different about the Blake we see with Sam.

Blake is the easy bantering, I can hold your hand (he holds ALL the girls's hands when talking with them) and laugh and have a good time with any girl.

So, based on this observation I immediately ascertained that this was Blake's personality.

Thus, it was the constant.

The variable is when he is NOT acting this way (laughing, giggling, being witty, banter, etc).

The variable became his vulnerability which we saw exposed when pleading with Sam to stay and talk with him. That was a variable that was deeper than Blake's personality. Sam essentially brought the variables out of a constant Blake and thus I came to conclusion that Sam sees "ALL" of Blake and Blake shows "ALL" of himself to Sam...

It's why I added, in this post, the lyrics to the song, "All of Me" by John Legend.

I will be :shocked!: if Sam is not it for him based on all this. Shocked! Hahaha.

So a lot of us have been saying why would the producers make it obvious that it is Sam as F1 and I know I have expounded on many reasons.

I just had a new one.

What if the producers saw firsthand Blake and Sam falling in crazy love with each other and fell in love with them too?

One cannot help but think if it is already so obvious even with the show being edited, how much more obvious and transparent Blake's feelings for Sam must have been to both male and female producers who were there witnessing it?

Maybe they too were in love with the Blake/Sam fairy tale which influenced how much they didn't want to not show concerning Blake and Sam... just a thought Smiley

ETA: Even viewers that don't like Sam still admit that Blake has fallen for her. I have noticed on a LOT of the Facebook comments, viewers who are against Sam and don't like her usually just criticise Sam but never do they state that Blake has not fallen for her because it is so obvious. They just don't like it for their own preferences sake and thus are proponents of someone else that is not as polarising as Sam may be.

I had the same thought as the bolded so thanks for putting it in writing Smiley Do you think that Sam became polarizing because of what most viewers perceived to be childish when she refused to talk to Blake during episode 8 (the intruders). To be honest, Sam is adorable and her genuineness is her best quality. I think she just wore her heart on her sleeves on that episode. She already started falling for Blake at that point, also concerned not just for herself for but also the other girls as well and she said as much during her ITM for that episode. She is also very caring, case in point when she attacked Laurina to protect Anita. Also at the last rose ceremony when Jess was let go, the first thing she did was to hug Jess before she accepted the rose from Blake. I don't like that she didn't talk to Blake during episode 8 but I think her nature is just to leave all her emotions on the table. This is the part of her that I am hoping Blake helps balance out (and sort of prune her so to speak into a very mature and sophisticated woman) if she ends up as F1.

s Sam's (all Australian girl) edited as the girl in our face but ends up as F3 with her heart broken making her the best candidate for the bachelorette?

There is always that possibility... however, I think that Louise has been edited as "ready" for marriage and Sam as "too young" for marriage.

No one watching can doubt that Louise seems very mature for her age. I was surprised when I saw her age as being 26. She seems much more mature.

If anything, this would point all signs toward Louise being F3 and The Bachelorette (TB) in my opinion.

Louise's heart will not be sooo devastated as Sam's would be and thus more ready to find love/husband on The Bachelorette (if they have the show). I personally think she is the best candidate for this position out of the remaining girls.

Also, the fact that Louise is the top favourite on the leading board as of now suggests that there is some merit to making Louise TB. Even comments on Facebook state how she is wife-material and also during The Women Tell All, all the girls said this about Louise calling her Stepford but in a very, very nice way. Which she is. She is perfect wife material on paper and definitely seems ready to be a wife.

Sam, to me, is ready for love ONLY with Blake but not ready to be The Bachelorette.

She doesn't have the finesse that Louise has but more importantly, I don't think anyone other than Blake would have made her as serious about the process of finding a husband. He brought that serious side of her out to the forefront (Beginning with Episode 8 and him pleading with to stay).

...................

I mentioned this in another post here and also here.... but to reiterate it this way:

CONSTANTS = *on the surface selves*
Blake's constant personality (who he is most of the time)
= witty, flirty, warm, interested, charming, fun, laughing, easily excited, chilled, easy going, physical, comfortable in his skin, confident, very masculine, macho....
Sam's constant personality (who she is most of the time)
= flirty, dorky, easy going, warm, feisty, chilled, fun, girly, unsure of herself, unaware of her worth, needy....

VARIABLES = *deeper selves*
Blake's variable personality (who he is beneath the surface)
= vulnerable, protective, exposed, more serious, earnest, depth and range of emotion, unsure, introspective, reflective, boyish, less masculine, sensitive, needy....
Sam's variable personality (who she is beneath the surface)
= serious, introspective, reflective, confident, more woman than girl, expecting, more mature, realistic, understanding....

I am sure there are more words to describe the constants and variables but from compiling this list one can see the similarities/differences in Sam and Blakes constants (on the surface selves) and variables (deeper selves) and draw some conclusions as to what they bring out in each other.... and essentially who they become when they are around each other...

Fun, confident, masculine Blake becomes serious, vulnerable, boyish Blake when around Sam

Fun, unsure of her worth, girly Sam becomes more serious, sure of her worth, more womanly Sam around Blake

This observation has helped me see past the criticism that Sam is too immature. Yes her constant personality is girly and girl next door/laid back....... but because of Blake and his masculinity, he brings out the more serious, womanly Sam. Likewise, Sam's girly-ness and unawareness brings out Blake's boyish, vulnerable, protective side.

Honestly, because of this, I think they have a perfect balance between them that doesn't exist with any of the other girls. They bring out the real them, all the parts not just some.

As Blake said in their episode before the HTD to Sam.... we vibe off each other.... you read me really well (code for you see beyond the surface/constant Blake... you see the deeper, variable parts of me).

Sidenote.... you can also draw a list for Lisa and Louise and compare the constant and variable selves with that of Blake. I have done so and noticed that both Lisa and Louise are mostly static (constant selves) with Blake and Blake is most of the time static (his constant self) with Lisa and Louise. There is only a shift in dynamic with Blake and Sam at a level that one can very easily see when it comes to their constant and variable selves.
