I was out so didn't see the game until later but had to check the score. Woohoo! I was with a bunch of Ranger fans but they were kind of expecting it. I like both teams but am really happy for the Jays. danceround

I was hoping that Houston would make it through but oh well.

What a game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had fingers, legs and arms crossed for the Blue Jays to win that game!!!! We did it though!! Woo Hoo!!! So darn proud of them. :cheerpom:

I've been to a lot of States, but Kansas is not one of them. I hope we have some Royals fans join in.

I'm so glad TO behaved last night! Everyone had an awesome night partying and celebrating.

Toronto FC also clinched a play off spot first time in the history of their soccer league, so to them as well!

In NHL news, my Habs are off to a great start 4-0!

The fans didn't behave though, throwing things on the field. Hopefully that won't happen again. I don't get the criticism of Bautista though. He barely looked at the pitcher and then threw his bat down in celebration. If you can't celebrate a huge home run to take a big lead in game 5 of the playoffs, when can you?

That was a "take that" hit IMO. There are tons of pics on twitter clearly showing the umpire calling end of play on that controversial throw by the catcher where the ball ricocheted off batter and the run was allowed in. The fans freaked. Unfortunately tossing items happens in a lot of other stadiums. Perfect timing IMO for a home run.

I take no issue with the fans or team being mad although it does appear to be the rule that was poorly applied. I just don't want to see them look bad and always hate it when people throw things on the field. It's kind of good for Toronto imo if they have a bit of a chip on their shoulder going into the next series.

I think because we're in canada people expect toronto fans to be more subdued but let me tell you I've been to games of every professional sports team in the city and we're pretty belligerent. No one crosses the line but it gets pretty crazy at games here. I didn't necessarily like the throwing of stuff because of the safety issue but it was understandable to me. I was at a bar watching and i had a napkin in my hand and tossed it reflexively and so did a bunch of other people there. In the moment, frustration just spills out, it's not pretty, but that's sports, it happens. I also think losing the first two games of this series was great for us because we faced adversity early and I think that'll prepare us for the rest of our playoff run.

Sorry Mets fans but rooting for my Dodgers tonight!! Hockey isn't very fun at the moment (0-3 ) so really hope baseball continues for LA!

In NHL news, I know the regular season means didly squat, but the Habs just won, to improve their perfect score to 6-0. I need to brag while it last!

We can always hope, GA. It wasn't a pretty game giving up their 3 run lead only to lose. Price did so well until the error (even if it was called a hit). Too bad after a brilliant outing until it wasn't.
