I read your posts but don't agree with you .... And not wanting to appear argumentative , I usually don't reply.... But I respect your right to your opinion and that we all see things through different eyes.

On to Episode 5 and Toronto... this episode has the 1-1 with April... in my memory both good and bad (he opened up, not sure she did as much... let's see how it feels rewatching!)

Tim says he wants to show the girls what is important in his life... (roller coasters and amusement park? really?)

Kaylynn takes over from Trish the role of "speaker of the house" introducing us to the hotel... until we get Trish ITM explaining this is an important week as they are in Tim's hometown.

1-1 DC "Let's hit the road so I can show you my world" (to a "Oh my gosh" comment from April)goes to... April  (and we get a very classy "Shut up!... eeek" reaction )

OK... one annoyance I have on Trish... as a delighted April (as any girl would be) says "you have no idea just how happy I am", she says "what is that about, quit being so happy, it's annoying". I kinda feel like telling her to stop being a sour puss!  and maybe it is said in jest, but that is an ITM and I personally dont see the humour/sarcastic look...

And no, my annoyance doesn't mean she isnt F1 BTW!  

April meets up with Tim ... gets the one arm hug... But I love the easy banter between them and how she slaps him on the chest when he says she doesnt know anything about his life and she answers she's glad they're on the same page  

April VO/ITM - she admits she hasnt divulged enough of her life to him, she knows she needs to be opened, saying "I'm just worried that I wont give myself the chance to be vulnerable"

Interesting titbit... as she climbs on bike she asks "I can trust you right" jokingly and smiling, and he answers straight face and serious "I promise".

He shows her where he used to work when he was a corporate slave. Romantic guitar music as he drives her to the park where he decided to change his life.

To be fair, I now spotted that the 1 hand hold we see with Trish on her 1-1 date in Ep06... he also does with April here - guess like the one arm hug, it's another Tim-ism :

April's reaction is guarded, as has been shown to be her natural reaction... I wish she let go! Hope Tim doesnt tire of big the one trying to pull her in...
April  ITM: "He says everything perfectly. He's giving me a new perspective, and a perspective that I like a lot"
Tim ITM: "I'm putting myself on the line here, I hope she sees that she can trust me, you know, enough to open up".

He asks her if she has ever been in love... and after hesitation... she does tell him she had a 7 years relationship. Says she thought she knew him, then he betrayed her trust... (BTW while she talks he is touching her leg but she has her arms crossed for the start of the convo, drops them midway through and eventually he has her hand in his...)

Tim then asks her what she thinks the most important thing is in a relationship, to make it work... Trust is number 1, and she wants unconditional love. They finish with Tim saying "Guess that's why we're both... " and she finishes "... here" but then he says "single".

They finally hug (both arms from him, full body leaning into him from her! We have progress!)

Tim happy she opened up as he was looking forward to it...
April VO then ITM: "I still have things I want to share with Tim (guessing her complicated childhood) but I dont know that I can trust him. It will take time."

(She says a lot that it takes time for trust to build - in her intro and again in this episode - ... and Tim keeps talking about how fast it goes and how little time he has... foreshadowing that she will feel there isnt enough time...?)


(Back at the hotel, Trish is the GD card reader... and Dom doesnt get to be on the date... )


Evening part of April's 1-1 and the famous pool game  They're both really good... neck and neck until she sunk the white... He goes for his "prize" (I love that he started by kissing and nuzzling her neck... more intimate to me than going straight for the mouth).

Now, if someone asks me why I believe in my guts that (at this point at least) April is his F1, here it is... she gives him a no-tongue kiss... and that is his reaction...:

THAT, even more than the beach moment, is why I believe she is, at this point, F1 (you know how I love my forehead to forehead moments!)  

As she says... "ah ah... win-win"  

Remember, we know from her blog that she gets to meet his best friends... I would love to see that footage!

After the game, we have romantic soft piano music while they hold hands and he caresses her arm, and as she holds 1 of his hands in both of hers he says "I want you to stick around" then grabs the rose and asks "Do you want to stick around?" and she "I definitively do". And we get the now classic guitar romantic tune as they wrap around each other and we get another of my favourites, the "double neck nuzzle" - but still more of the leaning from him than her... something to look out for in future episodes!:

She ends with "I want to be here and I do want to remain opened, because we still have a lot to learn about each other and there is so much more still to tell him".

(BTW they havent even opened the champagne bottle!  :shocked!: ... probably not a French cru! )

Something I want to look out for when I rewatch next episode with Trish's 1-1... see how he caresses her arm so gently... :

Onto the 4-1 date in Wonderland... Trish time is her scared on roller coaster, but she gets Tim beside her. She holds on to his arm and he is happy to oblige! I get it's a mini adrenalin date for these 2 He ends up really proud of her.

Then they kart race and Kaylynn kills it! Trish... is never going to be a race car driver!

And then the Kaylynn and Tim kissing in front of the 3 other girls (I think K got a tough wrap on that one... Tim was as much at fault! Kudos to Sachelle for giving him a bit of the cold shoulder and telling it to him like it is)
Trish agrees with Lisa but we mostly get disgusted facial expressions from her while Lisa is the one verbalising, at least to Kaylynn's face. Trish ITM on how K is cracking and not going any further. Not much from her on how she feels about Tim though...


Not sure what to say about Nat coming back/Dom leaving... just fed the Lisa is 2-faced storyline really... In term of April and Trish, just a couple of points:

- Trish on Nat being back is her usual disgusted face + "she looks like a witch" ITM (which i found kinda funny). Tells the other girls "I dont think it's fair if she stays".

- April uttering "What the f* is going on" to Kaylynn while laughing. But she is the one who asks Nat the questions straight up on why she changed her mind.

CP/RC: no 1-1 time for neither A nor T.  April is the only one with a rose (like Trish in last episode) - Trish gets called first (earlier than April in last episode). Big giggling hug as she gets her rose.

I dont think we saw progress on the Tim and Trish relationship...

Aww shucks Auntie, no one ignores your posts. Sometimes it's just a matter of "If You Can't Say Something Nice..." for me anyways. It's so much easier to respond to a post you agree with. Rest assured, I'll be the first to sing your praises if Trisha is the last gal standing. In any case I applaud you sticking to your guns as it's obvious you've put considerable time and effort to forming your opinions.

It does look like Trisha's HTD is going to be the most lighthearted and fun

I second what Mr&MrsSmith wrote. I want to say thank you Aunties_Love for your posts and the time you have taken to show another side and Trisha being F1. Don't stop posting, even if we seem all pro-April as F1 here. It will be great to have a trail, so to speak, where we can look back on and say, wow, now that makes sense, or I didn't see that but there's some proof. That is what is so great about different perspectives and I truly appreciate yours, especially considering how isolating it may seem on here. I will be happy either way at the end for whomever is or isn't the last girl standing and if it is Trisha then I will also be thanking you for your insights along the way! Getting excited for HTDs and looking forward to your recap as it looks like it will be a great HTD for Tim and Trisha!

Have been watching Tim's gaze when he's around the girls and his eyes seem to be drawn to april constantly

Hi guys. Have a wonderful and productive day.
Enjoyed reading all the thoughts from last night.

Aunties_Love guess what...you made me rewatch all the episodes focusing my attention on him and Trish's relationship. And i can see all the things you are pointing out and how Trish can possibly be the chosen one.
But at the end of the day I just think they are all good reasons why she is F2. If she is F1 I think it is because something went wrong between him an April.

The thing is with last season, even if Whitney seemed like F1, we all could feel something was not quite right and also that he was very willing to make things move forward with Bianka. He wanted her to open up so badly.

Here Tim is willing to make things move forward with April (he is pulling all the stops to make her open up) and with Trish it's like he is more like let's see what is there. She is fun and easy-going so that really helps.
That's why i think he is more into April and since their relationship seems to grow each time they are together (even if they don't show all those moments to us), i can't just see why that won't be the end game.

So yeah thanks so much for expressing your ideas and thoughts so clearly. This board would'nt be fun otherwise. can you imagine everyone being all in one board over here? That would be kinda boring. And also the sleuthing should preval so let's all keep sleuthing to the bit.

Thanks for all the recaps Sophie - seeing the condensed version of events really helps me to see Tim and April's relationship and how the editors have set up how lack of trust due to past relationships (both with guys and family) is what's going to give viewers the "doubt factor " which is a Bach franchise trademark I have a feeling its not going to be so much as who he's going to choose but will she say yes... Or will she even show up at FRC?

Oooh La La that one on one with April.... He is sooo into her and so hopeful. He really wanted her to know what makes him tick. He opened up to her and is chipping away at her defenses to get her to open up to him and trust him. They are just adorable together. Great couple. I'm enjoying this season.
