Why keep talking about JPG?  Talk about Andi and the great season in progress.

What can they really say about Andi? Yeah she's filming and it's gonna be a good season. That's about it as if he gives details it could give stuff away. We are still about a month away from the season premiere so once it gets closer, I suspect the focus will shift.

And the media keep asking about JuanPa because it was controversial. They talk about the controversial seasons a lot longer after they are over.

Definitely see that media would ask CH about a controversial lead between seasons  but that would be when CH is on the red carpet, at a charity event, hosting in some capacity.  This, however, was a prearranged interview with the majority of interview spent talking about JPG in the context of the past.In other words, both parties decided in advance to meet basically to rehash Chris' view of the former bachelor.
There was nothing new here so why bother inviting CH to frolic down memory lane?  Oh wait, anything new would be positive: (in the past 45 days since ATFR)  they see each other often, they have attended a few charity events, they have hung out in each other's hometowns, JPG went to a baseball game with Nikki's brother, they each attended a wedding of the others social circle, they've met some of each other's friends  ... yep.

You do realize CH doesn't keep tabs on what JuanPa and Nikki do right? He probably has no idea what they are up to besides they are still together.

And the questions aren't all hashed out beforehand by both sides. CH may have known the topics they'd cover, but why would he refuse to talk about the most recent season? That makes no sense. It's not like the season was a long time ago. It ended airing just over a month ago.

My frustration is not with your point of view (apologies if it seemed argumentative rather than a debate) but with the interview.
Agree - CH doesn't keep tabs on them in terms of meeting or socializing; otherwise the franchise does

Rehash: by this I meant CH is rehashing or recycling statements he already made in interviews shortly after AFTR

As I recall, between season interviews/statements were made by CH about Ben & Brad.  I don't recall CH not speaking about what was happening in real time or spending all the time talking only about what the lead did during the season. In the cases of the other mentioned bachelors, he informed himself. Why not in this case too?

(Sean continued in the public eye because of DWTS so lots was public therefore I didn't include him above).

The Huff interview IS the one I'm referring too.  The Stir one is just a tongue-in-cheek piece that came later.

In regards to comments about Brad, CH commented right after their season and then when Brad and Emily broke up in the summer. As for Ben, he again commented right after the season and then not again for several months until he saw them again at Cassie and Peter's wedding. I'd love to see links to other comments if you have them because those I vividly remember.

And I believe he informed himself because he actually somewhat liked or really liked (Brad) the bachelor in question so knowing what was going on was much easier. Or there was an event that warranted his being informed, like Brad and Emily breaking up or knowing he would see the couple in person which was the case with Ben and Courtney.

That's the whole point. JPG is dealing with the consequences just fine, without them. It's CH that isn't dealing with it. IMO

I listened to three minute's of that interview, and that was enough for me. To speak about someone in that manner, without that person there to defend themselves, is just appalling.

CH tweeted about JPG 4 days ago and that he talk about him to Elvis. JPG remains silent and did not tweet back. Then 2 days later, he is still talking about JPG in his interview. When is he going to stop?

I completely agree with this. He signed on the dotted line, and has to accept the consequences, but... after it's over, I don't see the point in continuing the bashing. JPG and Nikki have pretty much taken the high road and others have not. It would be no problem for people like Trista, Clare, CH, TBTB, etc. saying something to the effect that it's in the past now, no comment, or I just wish them well. No one is forcing them to give an opinion, give an interview, appear on a show, etc. It ends up looking like sour grapes, IMO.

And CH is paid to talk about the show. He is giving his opinion on the situation as he was asked.

What isn't CH dealing with fine? He seems as happy as a clam to me! And simply sharing HIS opinion on JuanPa/the season.

You missed a lot if you only listened to 3 minutes.

I guess I should stop trying to make people not see CH was this bitter, vile person who has so much against JuanPa. He even said he doesn't in this interview and that he wishes no ill will on JuanPa and Nikki/isn't rooting for them to fail, plus that he doesn't understand those who do that.

I listened to it, and even though he says he wishes them well, CH does not come off as sincere on the subject of JP - at all. To me, it seems like he is lying through his teeth. Yes, he is a paid person, but the media will stop asking when they stop talking about it and fueling the fire.

I do like this couple so maybe I take things differently than others do.

See, and I actually don't think he's lying through his teeth when he wishes them no ill will and doesn't understand those who do. And the media decides when to stop asking about it when they want to no matter how much someone doesn't want to address it. They keep going based on their agenda. For example, even long after the season had ended and it was first addressed but before the wedding promotion, media kept asking Sean and Catherine about their sex life because they wanted to know more.

And I'm totally indifferent to them as a couple so I see things differently than their fans.

Me personally, I have not been a CH fan since Jillian and watching him push her to pick Ed and not give Reid a second chance. Other things since then have made me continue to not care for CH and to me continuing to complain about JPG, because that is what this is complaining about a lead who didn't play the game they way TPTB wanted them to, just seems silly.

For me UMN you gave many references of how CH didn't speak about Ben or Brad post their seasons, so why keep talking about JPG?

I guess for me I would like to hear about Andi, about how her journey is going, some of the great places they have visited. Little antidotes on things that wouldn't really spoil the show but wet our appetites. Maybe when last season comes up, just say it was a rough one, but we got a great bachelorette out of it and her season is going to be so much fun or so romantic or so funny. I am tired of the rehashing of all JPG did wrong. I get it, he was the wrong person for this show and it is all his fault and not at all TPTB's fault. I don't agree, but that this their line and it won't change. So CH and TPTB, just let it go and stop ragging on the man. To me it is getting to be sour grapes. Heck he could even talk about the fact that for the first time ever it seems the last three couples to come out of this show are together and seem to be going strong, one is married, the other will be soon and even though the last season was rough, the couple seems to be making a go of it. We seemed to have found some real success and we are looking forward to Andi continuing this trend.

CH could focus on the positive if he chose to, instead he seems to like to rehash the negative.

He could even start pimping BiP, the people they are looking at, what it will be like since it is a concept change.

Lots of good positive things to focus on, so why keep getting routed in the negative. Even if asked the questions he can answer in a way of positivity of moving on from JPG instead of continuing to discuss how bad it was.
