That's what makes the show though, watching them step out of their norm and try stuff they haven't a clue about. Molly can go to the gym with Sean since she hates working out, attend church as she isn't a church goer, butcher something on Photoshop and attempt designing, and model stuff for Instagram campaigns. It would be boring if they were anything alike.

It is completely understandable, and I guess this happens on the wife swap shows fairly regularly. But in those cases they'd have the kids that MrsOO could attend to and mingle with. Sean and Catherine being childless, IMO, shifts the focus to Cat's professional life and their church/social life. That's why I think it's a weird mix.

Ah, okay. Like I mentioned in my post, I am not really familiar with how they usually handle childless couples. Have maybe seen 2 episodes. Tops..

Also the other wife leaves a list of things for the new wife to do, so Cat will have a list for Molly with her duties (personal and professional) for the entire day. Cat strikes me as the more domestic wife so should be interesting for Molly

I imagine Molly will be spending time cooking (Cat loves to cook), hopefully being trained at the gym by Sean (hello comedy
potential), perhaps meeting with her Bible study group/attending church, and hopefully attempting some design stuff that isn't for real. All those things would be interesting and have a good drama/comedy potential.

I think Molly is very artsy and crafty. She used to be before she hired companies to do it for her. She has thrown a few parties and posted pics of her table settings or desserts she made.

She had a blog that she updated quite regularly before she started her new job. She has been doing the podcast for quite some time now with Jason and has been working at the radio station.

IMO there are several things that Molly is talented at, and perhaps Cat can learn a few things from her like DJ' ing, and vice versa.

I think Catherine may have more trouble in a way because she doesn't have kids. It's not easy to work and take care of a toddler and get Ty off to school, sports, etc. I've only seen the show a couple of times but don't remember anyone going to work for someone. I'm sure they'll set both sides up to make sure they have trouble with their "duties".

I would assume it comes down to money. Neither couple is 100% financially secure, and this allows them to earn a good deal related to one week's work. I know Jason and Molly have been debating it for a long time, actually turning it down several times in the past. But, face it, they mostly make a living off their personalities; this would just be part of that.

The younger generation is different about TV than my friends and I would have been; just part of life for them, another opportunity.

I see nothing wrong with this opportunity. It's all about Reality TV these days.

Both couples are stable, living a normal married life in many other ways. If they are both being offered deals, IMO I think they have the common sense to accept the ones that will not have the potential to trash them in any way all the while securing their future.

Despite the televised wedding, I thought that J & M had conducted their lives, sort of above the fray of the Bachelor franchise fame mongers for the most part. My problem is that til now they had the appearances of class. In my mind, both Chris & Peyton and Des & Chris are the Bachelor barometers of class acts and yet are enjoying success that grew out of their being on the B/Ette. At least from the outside, in my mind they wrote the book on how to be classy and yet still profit from how they met. I can not ever see either of them ever doing this type of show, or either lady doing a sonogram on tv. Perhaps, class is becoming a thing of the past or maybe I am just getting too old for this stuff!!!

If wishes could come true, I wish we could make the couple disappear from "celebrity" once they put the ring on the finger, to live happily/unhappily ever after without the sm and following their every move. But that train left the station ions ago.
