His answers were based on first impression/ first meeting. He find Clare funny with her big belly as well as Chelsea. Sharleen was most unexpected for him but he declined to answer who impressed him most as it will give away. Note he mentioned the names of 4 of his final 6 except Nikki and Renee.

Shocking that Andi was labeled as the one most likely to argue! That should have been a clue for us. He did say that he listened...they may not have realised he was paying attention, but he was. I believe him even if Andi didn't.
I had forgotten these videos. It's funny how obvious it is now that he was not happy with how it all went down, although, you could see he thought of some of the women fondly.

Como padre nunca mentirle a mi hija, si le digo que la voy a buscar al colegio y no puedo, hago que su mamá me llame apenas la busque para explicarle el por qué no pude buscarla. Es importante que nunca pierda la confianza que tenemos.
Como Bachelor el que la honestidad no se compra ni se negocia, que por más de que haya un show que hacer, no cambiaré quien soy o lo que pienso.
Como venezolano, el que nacer aquí es lo más sabroso que hay, que jamás lo dejaré de ser esté donde esté y que el venezolano no es lo que se ve en estos días en mi país. Que desde aquí seguiré trabajando por mi país y por qué muchos muchachos tengan la oportunidad de estudiar y hacer deportes en EEUU.
¿Qué respondes a los que te escriben comentarios negativos en las redes sociales?
Como es gente que la mayoría de las veces no sabe de lo que está habland,o ya que no me conoce ,y es gente que simplemente abre cuentas para decir cosas que a la cara JAMÁS se atreverían a decir, no le doy mayor importancia.
Lo más fácil, y algo que me vacilo, es simplemente BORRAR y BLOQUEAR. (Risas) Hasta el sol de hoy, sólo he tenido un encuentro negativo en persona y le ocurrió realmente a Nikki (su pareja en The Bachelor). Estábamos en una tienda en Kansas City cuando una mujer le dijo: “La verdad que él era un pendejo” a lo que Nikki respondió: “Quieres que lo busque para que se lo digas en su cara?
La mujer regresó 10 min. más tarde a conocerme, a pedirnos disculpas y decirnos que hay que saber cuándo uno se equivoca y saber pedir disculpas para ser un ejemplo para su hijo, quien presenció todo.
¿Quizá la barrera idiomática fue un factor determinante en los malentendidos con la prensa?
Definitivamente. ¿Cómo se sintió haberte visto en tamaño gigante en Time Square?
Honestamente, fue chévere pero raro a la vez. Nunca me imaginé estar del otro lado de la mesa, en otras palabras, que me tocaría a mi ser la figura luego de llevar años en la industria del entretenimiento trabajando y manejando las carreras de otros.
¿Qué hizo que le dieras la rosa Nikki Ferrell? ¿Qué viste en ella?

Una experiencia increíble que sólo los que estuvimos ahí pudimos disfrutar. También a que siempre hay que ser autentico y no dejarse llevar por las personas así te digan que lo que están haciendo es por tu bien, especialmente en TV, cuando siempre intentaran de que hagas lo que ellos necesitan.
¿Volverías a participar en un reality show?
Por supuesto, pero dependiendo del formato del show y de los términos económicos, obviamente Jajaja…
Participaste en el Show de los Muppets, Lena Dunham la protagonista de la serie Girls se enamoró cuando te vió, Jimmy Kimmel te llamaba a cada rato para hacer algo en su show, ¿que otras experiencias así “sencillitas” viviste?
Bueno, después del show tuve oportunidad de ser invitado al torneo caritativo de golf de Michael Jordan, celebrado anualmente en la ciudad de Las Vegas, presentar un premio en los American Music Awards y par de cositas más.
Y ahora… ¿Cuál es el plan?
El plan es aprovechar la oportunidad y las puertas que se me han abierto para ser la voz de muchos venezolanos que no tienen la suerte de ser escuchados. También, seguir haciendo lo mismo que he venido haciendo desde que deje de jugar futbol, trabajar para recuperar el Museo de Béisbol de Venezuela y continuar recolectando artículos de los grandes ligas de nuestro país para ser exhibidos.
Lo cierto es que saber que un guantín de béisbol usado por alguien como Carlos González puede inspirar a algún niño, no tiene precio y es muy gratificante para mi.
Para eso, he creado Cardenas Sports Foundation que tiene como objetivo impulsar el desarrollo de jóvenes que buscan un mejor futuro a través del deporte.
Por el lado del entretenimiento, estaré trabajando este año con Obie Bermudez en la grabación de su nuevo disco y en la internacionalización de Britsio, DJ Venezolano con mucho talento, entre otros proyectos.
¿Te quedaron ganas de seguir haciendo TV?

¿Cuál es el cuento más insólito que han inventado de ti?
La verdad es que la prensa se inventó cosas FENOMENALES… Que si Nikki está embarazada, que si tuve 10 mil novias, etc. La palabra que aprendí gracias a las revistas americanas fue ‘SOURCE’ (Fuente). A estos gringos de las revistas amarillistas si les gusta usar y abusar de esa palabrita. Siempre hay una ‘fuente’ que dice algo.
Por ahí una ‘fuente’ dijo que yo saque a una ex-compañera y la puse a bailar bachata en un restaurant…. A muuuuuundo ¿De cuando acá yo bailo Bachata? Un Reggaetón te lo creo, ¿Pero bachata? (Risas)
¿Después de salir en el prime time del mercado americano, cuando alguien te reconoce, cual ha sido la reacción más intensa?
Una muchacha que me vio en un aeropuerto y empezó a gritar “Oh my god, oh my god, its Juan Pablo”… “Estoy acalorada, no sé qué hacer, nadie me lo va a creer, mira como sudo, oh my god, me puedo tomar una foto?”…Trató un selfie y la mano le temblaba y el corazón se lo sentía en el pecho cuando trato de tomarse la foto. De seguro, esa foto salió borrosa.
¿Te vas a casar con Nikki?

Es imposible no contagiarse con la risa de este “guaro” de un metro ochenta. Con esa misma misma alegría agradece por todo lo que tiene y aún le cuesta creer lo que ha vivido el último año gracias a su aparición en el reality show “The Bachelor” transmitido por la cadena ABC.
El ex futbolista de 32 años de edad, padre a tiempo completo de Camila, ya había ganado algo de fama en la televisión estadounidense tras participar en la versión femenina del show de las rosas, “The Bachelorette”. Después de ser eliminado, Juan Pablo aceptó de una vez por todas que lo suyo eran las cámaras.
Su físico no es de gratis, y aunque la genética pudo haber hecho lo suyo, las prácticas de fútbol –su otra gran pasión- le permitieron conseguir un número en el Caracas Fútbol Club. Hasta que en 2009 decidió guindar los tacos de forma profesional y aprovechar los mejores años como padre.
Una vez instalado en Miami incursionó en la representación de artistas, esto le permitió conocer todo el brillo junto a las partes más incómodas del mundo del espectáculo, hasta que de tantos castings, llamadas y sesiones de fotos llegó el momento en que le preguntaron: “¡¿Y por qué no sales tú en la cámara?!”

¿Cuál es tu mejor atributo? Como padre, como “bachelor”, como venezolano…
Como padre nunca mentirle a mi hija, si le digo que la voy a buscar al colegio y no puedo, hago que su mamá me llame apenas la busque para explicarle el por qué no pude buscarla. Es importante que nunca pierda la confianza que tenemos.
Como Bachelor el que la honestidad no se compra ni se negocia, que por más de que haya un show que hacer, no cambiaré quien soy o lo que pienso.
Como venezolano, el que nacer aquí es lo más sabroso que hay, que jamás lo dejaré de ser esté donde esté y que el venezolano no es lo que se ve en estos días en mi país. Que desde aquí seguiré trabajando por mi país y por qué muchos muchachos tengan la oportunidad de estudiar y hacer deportes en EEUU.
¿Qué respondes a los que te escriben comentarios negativos en las redes sociales?
Como es gente que la mayoría de las veces no sabe de lo que está habland,o ya que no me conoce ,y es gente que simplemente abre cuentas para decir cosas que a la cara JAMÁS se atreverían a decir, no le doy mayor importancia.
Lo más fácil, y algo que me vacilo, es simplemente BORRAR y BLOQUEAR. (Risas) Hasta el sol de hoy, sólo he tenido un encuentro negativo en persona y le ocurrió realmente a Nikki (su pareja en The Bachelor). Estábamos en una tienda en Kansas City cuando una mujer le dijo: “La verdad que él era un pendejo” a lo que Nikki respondió: “Quieres que lo busque para que se lo digas en su cara?
La mujer regresó 10 min. más tarde a conocerme, a pedirnos disculpas y decirnos que hay que saber cuándo uno se equivoca y saber pedir disculpas para ser un ejemplo para su hijo, quien presenció todo.
¿Quizá la barrera idiomática fue un factor determinante en los malentendidos con la prensa?
Definitivamente. El idioma fue factor fundamental en muchos malos entendidos durante el programa, que en la mayoría de los casos me tomé el tiempo para explicarlos en cámara, como por ejemplo un “Te Quiero Mucho”, “Te Adoro”, “Me Encantas”, “Me Gusta”, que no fueron mostrados y el público americano no pudo entender.
Con respecto a la prensa, suele tomar todo a su manera para crear polémica y noticia, algo que gracias a mi trabajo en el mundo del entretenimiento por muchos años, sabría que pasaría.
¿Cómo se sintió haberte visto en tamaño gigante en Time Square?
Honestamente, fue chévere pero raro a la vez. Nunca me imaginé estar del otro lado de la mesa, en otras palabras, que me tocaría a mi ser la figura luego de llevar años en la industria del entretenimiento trabajando y manejando las carreras de otros.
¿Qué hizo que le dieras la rosa Nikki Ferrell? ¿Qué viste en ella?
Una mujer familiar, inteligente, bella, sarcástica, que por profesión y amor propio se preocupa por los demás, en especial por los niños, que le gustan los deportes y me fue honesta desde el primer día.
¡No hubo boda en el show! Pero… ¿Crees en el matrimonio?
Claro que creo en el matrimonio, hasta ahora no me he casado pero el momento llegará y lo estoy esperando muy tranquilo y sin presión.
¿Cuál fue el momento más incómodo que viviste en el reality?
Cuando en la primera ceremonia de la rosa llame a Kat y vino Kylie, y después la mande pa’ su casa ese día… Me sentí TERRIBLE…
Si tuvieras la oportunidad de responder nuevamente, en el mismo show, a lo del “Bachelor Gay”… ¿Qué dirías?
Básicamente lo mismo pero en español para poder expresarme correctamente y que me entiendan.
¿Qué te dejó “The Bachelor” en tu vida? (a parte de Nikki)
Una experiencia increíble que sólo los que estuvimos ahí pudimos disfrutar. También a que siempre hay que ser autentico y no dejarse llevar por las personas así te digan que lo que están haciendo es por tu bien, especialmente en TV, cuando siempre intentaran de que hagas lo que ellos necesitan.
¿Volverías a participar en un reality show?
Por supuesto, pero dependiendo del formato del show y de los términos económicos, obviamente Jajaja…
Participaste en el Show de los Muppets, Lena Dunham la protagonista de la serie Girls se enamoró cuando te vió, Jimmy Kimmel te llamaba a cada rato para hacer algo en su show, ¿que otras experiencias así “sencillitas” viviste?
Bueno, después del show tuve oportunidad de ser invitado al torneo caritativo de golf de Michael Jordan, celebrado anualmente en la ciudad de Las Vegas, presentar un premio en los American Music Awards y par de cositas más.
Y ahora… ¿Cuál es el plan?
El plan es aprovechar la oportunidad y las puertas que se me han abierto para ser la voz de muchos venezolanos que no tienen la suerte de ser escuchados. También, seguir haciendo lo mismo que he venido haciendo desde que deje de jugar futbol, trabajar para recuperar el Museo de Béisbol de Venezuela y continuar recolectando artículos de los grandes ligas de nuestro país para ser exhibidos.
Lo cierto es que saber que un guantín de béisbol usado por alguien como Carlos González puede inspirar a algún niño, no tiene precio y es muy gratificante para mi.
Para eso, he creado Cardenas Sports Foundation que tiene como objetivo impulsar el desarrollo de jóvenes que buscan un mejor futuro a través del deporte.
Por el lado del entretenimiento, estaré trabajando este año con Obie Bermudez en la grabación de su nuevo disco y en la internacionalización de Britsio, DJ Venezolano con mucho talento, entre otros proyectos.
¿Te quedaron ganas de seguir haciendo TV?
(Risas) La TV se la dejo a los que le gusta hacerla, a mi realmente me da igual. Ahora, si me presentan un buen proyecto, lo analizo y si me gusta lo hago.

¿Cuál es el cuento más insólito que han inventado de ti?
La verdad es que la prensa se inventó cosas FENOMENALES… Que si Nikki está embarazada, que si tuve 10 mil novias, etc. La palabra que aprendí gracias a las revistas americanas fue ‘SOURCE’ (Fuente). A estos gringos de las revistas amarillistas si les gusta usar y abusar de esa palabrita. Siempre hay una ‘fuente’ que dice algo.
Por ahí una ‘fuente’ dijo que yo saque a una ex-compañera y la puse a bailar bachata en un restaurant…. A muuuuuundo ¿De cuando acá yo bailo Bachata? Un Reggaetón te lo creo, ¿Pero bachata? (Risas)
¿Después de salir en el prime time del mercado americano, cuando alguien te reconoce, cual ha sido la reacción más intensa?
Una muchacha que me vio en un aeropuerto y empezó a gritar “Oh my god, oh my god, its Juan Pablo”… “Estoy acalorada, no sé qué hacer, nadie me lo va a creer, mira como sudo, oh my god, me puedo tomar una foto?”…Trató un selfie y la mano le temblaba y el corazón se lo sentía en el pecho cuando trato de tomarse la foto. De seguro, esa foto salió borrosa.

The truth is that know that a baseball guantín used by someone like Carlos Gonzalez can inspire a child is priceless and very rewarding for me.
For that, I created Cardenas Sports Foundation which aims to promote the development of young people seeking a better future through sport.

Galavis is focusng on creating the Cardenas Sport Foundation — a non-profit organization created to help the Venezuelan Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, teams, athletes and communities in Latin America — as well. The venture is still in the approval process with the U.S. government, but the cause is very personal to Galavis.
Years ago, he learned the story of Carlos Daniel Cardenas, a young Venezuelan who, at the age of 3, was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s disease. He was not able to walk when he was 9, so his physical education classes were based on essays and papers on sports and that led him to a full career as a sports writer.
Cardenas wrote a couple of sports books, including “Venezuelans in the Major Leagues, Their Lives and Deeds 1939-1989.” He died in 1994 and his parents created the Venezuelan Museum of Baseball and Hall of Fame in memory of their child. Galavis felt the need to be part of the project and thus created the foundation.
