No they knew him because Natalie use to do live chat recaps and he was usually a regular on there. He goes by his user name Uncle Sexy. Some would request to be on camera to reveal their identity and he was one of them because Natalie was curious what he looked like. So he's just a fan of the show who's a singer and he has a band.
