I can only compare to date night with me and my hubby. Not just a casual, hey let's catch a movie or would you like to out for a hamburger. It was always a prearranged night we'll have a date and go to see this particular movie and eat at one of our favorite restaurants.
I think it's the prearranged agreement that makes it a date. Maybe that's the same with Sean and Catherine, although they're married and living together they are making it more romantic by making an actual date to be together on a certain evening.
Gotcha, as opposed to the other 6 nights they are together, this one was prearranged. Seriously, I'm sure you're right. It just always makes me giggle because they are always together and quite often go out to eat or do something in the evening. I always think of date night as just the two of you away from the house/kids. They are just too darling for words![/quote

It is cute that they've already started their, "we PROMISE to spend time together!" nights even though they don't have kids yet. But they do get busy, so it is probably still an important way to feed the relationship.
Just give me something that looks like a real love story to help me escape into my own version of fantasy for a while. And maybe against the odds one of those stories will actually survive real life. Nothing wrong with a little hope, right?

You're welcome, I love revisiting that time too, and especially when we get new clues about things that happened while they were on the show.
"I'm a big kid, and Catherine brings that out in me, but we can turn it around real fast and be very romantic and I love that she sees both sides of me."
What's really interesting is as they're at the bubble gum wall, Sean is saying these words, and at the exact moment they are sticking their notes to that wall, he is saying the words "very romantic." Watching that part in the past, I always latched on to the part about being a big kid because they were blowing bubbles with their bubblegum. Now it's so fitting how he is talking about how romantic they can be as they leave each other love notes on the wall. Never thought a bubblegum wall would be romantic, boy was I wrong lol!!!

I think when you're married and you're out and about doing things, going somewhere for dinner before you head home is not necessarily a date.
A date in my opinion between a married couple, especially a newlywed couple, is something more planned. And how do I say this, well I'll just say it. The night will probably end in a very romantic way. That's the most PG way I can say it lol. To me, that's a date night with a married couple, something you plan to spend quality time together that ends with "romance." It's different than just say they stopped to get something to eat on the way home, and then ended up coming home after that and having a "romantic" ending to their evening without planning it. And it's not like they're discussing that it's going to end romantic when they're planning the date, it just usually does when you're married and go out for an evening alone together. I'm not saying all the time, but probably most of the time, especially with newlyweds. I don't know if this makes sense lol.

^^^Surely, the notes were left on the gum wall.... but also, clearly, the evidence was photographed.
