Interesting take, pb! IMO I think there is some element of like with JP and the final 2 women. However, I do think he is in strong like with Nikki. With Nikki, especially after watching the FD, I see him doing the leading (leaning in to kiss her) whereas with Clare, she seemed to be the one leading (leaning in for kisses, etc.). I'm just going to wait to see how it all plays out.

I didn't see where any of 2observe's questions were specified by JP either on the show or in his blog   

If you watch Nikki's Fantasy Date, Juan told Nikki that he liked her more than once when she told him that she loved.  In an interview with Chris Harrison, Juan told him that when he says that "he likes you" it meant something.  So I'm thinking that Juan telling Nikki that he likes her (more than once), after she told told him how she felt, meant that he was trying to tell Nikki something.  

I noticed in JBF post that there was no mention of Juan telling Clare that he liked her after she told him how she felt, so I wanted to know if I had missed in his post, .  Juan also stated to the public that he was very pleased with his night with Nikki (I'm paraphasing).  This is why I asked the two questions.

You've said this before. I beg to disagree. There have only been a few examples of love on this show...pretty much everything else has been lust/attraction or just acting for the sake of the show. Most of the couples have said that they didn't really fall in love until after the show. Whether I like the people involved is irrelevant. Some of my favourites, I wanted to be in love, but, I knew they weren't. Conversely, some of the people that I wasn't necessarily crazy about, I saw falling in love.

Every season we get the same thing. Some people see a love story, others, not so much. Different camps form and disagree. Time always tell the story. This season I'm not holding my breath for love or frankly, even lust.

Hello, all! I started this post this morning and decided if I finished it then, I would get sucked in .... and stay here too long! I tend to over indulge when I get started so I shut it off and enjoyed a beautiful day instead...

To be fair, picking out TPTB edit this season is difficult for anyone...for those who have spent so  so much time analyzing it... first I want to say thanks for your efforts and patience with those who may disagree. I say it's difficult because Juan was not your typical lead. Starting with Meet and Greet,  I think he disliked the show and the process a little more each day. That equals a difficult edit. I didn't watch Travis (dr) season but from what I've been told, he really wasn't on board either but in a different way. (girls) Back to JP,  I'm not sure how many seasons JP had watched. I'm guessing not too many. JP is picky and I think he has this image of himself and his lifetime partner. Well, it just doesn't always work that way...especially when you have 8 weeks to figure it out and play by their rules or wants. "An engagement" For him his image is huge! His parents set a high standard or in his eyes, they did. From night one, I saw him attracted...truly attracted to 5 girls. Poor guy. Well guess what JP, you still gotta play the game with all of them. He just couldn't grasp that and wouldn't engage. He thought the no kissing would keep some at a distance and prevent so much hurt when he said good -bye. He really is a super nice guy.  I think TPTB became very frustrated with him and started to push...as each girl got attached he became more miserable leading them on. I'm not including the 5 he liked in that! If I"m being honest, there were really only two in my eyes that ever stood a chance of getting anywhere close to a proposal Sharlene and Nikki. He REALLY liked Sharlene but I'm not sure he could see her as a stepmom to Camilla. He was willing to find out and knew he had to go slow with her. He's perceptive...I don't care what they say! After she left, it was all about Nikki but now he's worn out with the whole process and Nikki didn't get the emotions he may have shown had he not had such a hard time playing the game. I think it was all just too much for him by the time FRC arrived.

I do think he really enjoyed his time with Clare but I'm not sure he would ever committ his heart to her. She's just not strong enough for him. If he doesn't see potential for long term, he's just not going there.

I do think Nikki is good for JP. I think he may have even figured that out a little by now. I hope so. She can handle him and if the edit hasn't undone her emotionally, I think he'll give it a shot but at this point, I beleive it's up to her, not him.

ETA: Sorry for saying I think so much but when reading my posts it's hard to remember it's MOO!

Some say that they didn't fall in love til after the show was over. Doesn't mean it's the case for all.

I feel like this is an endless argument because clearly I'm not gonna agree with the other sides. Some see a love story every season (or most), some never ever see one, and others see a select handful. I clearly fall into the the latter category. I must be seeing something right if 3 of the 5 times I've seen love stories ending with the final couples getting married.

Great post, and the bolded line ties in with what Nikki's dad told Juan about her having to choose him as well as he choosing her.

I wonder if he is aware of the connotations of "sleep-over"? Language barrier or Juan Pablo barrier?
