I thought the part where Nikki doesn't let the attraction take over was a very good point. Rather than just kiss we actually hear them talk about their potential relationship. Obviously we don't see everything but they have the most real life connection we've seen so far.

I also see that he enjoys her ability to step out of her comfort zone and roll with things easily .. Without drama .. Occasionally needing a bit of prodding to do so

But it didn't stop Nikki from bragging in ITM's about him being her boyfriend.  Even Clare hasn't said that in ITM's but Nikki has bragged about it.  To me, that is another example of someone being over secure and another example of someone that could be totally blindsided by a different ending.  Something that a F2 experiences...

We have seen Clare be over confident in PI's and even to the girls when she said she wouldn't just try for a kiss (or something similar). Maybe Nikki has good reason for her confidence. We don't know what JP has been whispering to her.  :Nod:

People see things differently.  My mom commented again that she likes to watch the girls and JP connection and when the girls talk about JP not so much the girls and friendships.   My mom says that is all fluff…..she says I watch Juan Pablo….she also said that Nikki has said nothing nice about the girls and when she is with JP and talking she gloats about herself.  (I clarified that my mom is talking about PI's during their dates).    Remember my mom is 83 years old and she watches it from a different thought process….she says she only really pays attention to Juan Pablo and who he is with and what they say during that time.   So I just might go back and watch only those times and see if I agree with her.   I think watching it from that point of view might be close how Juan Pablo's point of view (since he doesn't know about all the fluff)  Then if you only watch the PI's during each date maybe it will come across differently to me.  We shall see.

I know that people have different opinions. Obviously it's fine and I respect that.
I also thank you for sharing your family experience when watching the Bach episodes.

But I was not talking about Nikki. Forget about her. I don't mind if she's seen differently than the way I do.

I am surprised about your family not talking about Clare, unless I missed that in your input.
How can you not mention her attitude, facial expressions, snarky comments, especially when talking about this last episode ? What about her behavior during the fight ?
No comment at all ? Your family didn't express any disappointment in her ?
In my opinion, even if you're a fan of Clare, you have to recognize that there was something not really nice here coming from her...

I see your thinking but I don't see where you think Nikki hasn't been dominant.  Each episode she was focused on wanting a 1:1 date.  People noticed her from the first night with the heart beating.  She has 1:1 time at the M & G which Clare didn't….Nikki had a date every episode Clare didn't.  So coming from behind I just don't see it.  They showed 1:1 time with Nikki and Juan each episode of some kind.  The episode that Clare didn't get a date there was no time shown with Juan (if I remember right).  We didn't even know that they talked about not kissing until there 1:1 time on the group date in Korea.  JMO

You were saying that you thought Nikki being confident is a clue that she's f2. I don't agree and think Clare's more likely the one heading for a letdown. JMO wrote:

If there is no proposal, I think it will be because JP wants more time with his intended and his daughter before he proposes to make sure the 3 of them are a fit.   I don't see him making this important decision without seeing their interactions in real life, as it should be in my opinion.
