Sean and Catherine Lowe - General Discussion

When I'm reading "Ssshhh" or "move on" or "take it to another thread," those are all things that are telling a poster to basically shut up. By my saying that I'm not on board with people telling others to move on, it simply means I'm not on board with people telling others not to post their thoughts. I'll defend that statement to any mod on this board, because I don't think I'm wrong. What I do think is that everyone that has an opinion that is a little different, has to defend that opinion over and over again, and that's why the same few people post on the board. Because people that mostly lurk are afraid to post. I can't say how many times I've deleted posts or changed them recently to avoid an argument. I do think there are certain people that want to say the complete opposite of everything I say, I feel like they want me to leave the board. It seems I was really popular when I wrote my stories, but not so much anymore.

But that's okay. Even if I have to edit myself, I will stick up for anyone that wants to express an opinion in a respectful manner.

I'm kind of annoyed though that this board has become like this. It used to be so fun, now I feel like I have to defend every opinion of my own, and every poster who goes even slightly against the norm. At this rate, I don't know how much longer I'm going to want to hang around because I don't need this kind of annoyance in my life.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm over all this. Perhaps that's why I'm thinking elsewhere may be a good place to be.

For the record, telling others to "Shhhhh", "move on", or "take it to another thread" is not allowed UNLESS you are a mod. If you are saying such things, you need to stop.

Iloveromance I was actually agreeing with you. I'm pretty sure that is a board wide rule.

Me too I am so over this and it is really draining that is why I appreciated words of wisdom and video clips so that we can go to a happy place. I am deciding to go to a happy place and celebrate Sean and Catherine because they are the only reason I am subjecting myself to this forum.

THank you for this umngirl. Hopefully since you are so respected on here, people will listen to this.

I'm over all the disagreements as well. Let's go back to our happy place of celebrating the love of the Lowe's! :)

lovebites8727 you are also entitled to tell people to move on because that your opinion and your right to do so.  I support your encouragement to move on!  At time we need words of wisdom instead of just want to fuel the fire for no reason at all.

Actually, she's not allowed to do that because it's against the board rules which are clearly stated.

Quite frankly, I'm not surprised many don't feel welcome in our threads. Sometimes we (yes I'm guilty of this too) can be downright rude, hostile, and put SeanCat up on an unreachable pedestal. Like I said, it's got to the point where I'd feel better leaving and not dealing with this anymore.

Why does it always get personal. This board is dedicated to Sean and Catherine but not closed to all opinions. We love them and admire them, but they aren't perfect and neither are we. I prefer the happy place that umngirl posted to remind us how lucky we are to be part of this love story, the petty bickering is not necessary. All opinions can be expressed and like it or not we still come back to the fact that our Seancat family is formed by those of us who are loyal fans and "sticks and stones"
It sounds like when I was teaching kindergarten. Grow up everyone and return to the adorable Mr and Mrs Lowe, People will always have other opinions just have faith in your own and keep the Sean and Catherine fun going on in a positive manner.
We'll all survive diverse opinions but please don't take them personally and let the joy we've been given be diminished,

And yes to those who called me "MOM" I do have Mom , Grand mom. and teacher experience. Got to keep using it even here.

Yes, they did have an eventful year. Can't wait to see what the rest of this year brings them!!
