Sorry, of course you have a right to express yourself, but if you all want to know why these "off topic" discussions keep happening, it is the little stabs like that one.  

Personally, I don't have a favorite couple at all.  I truly love them ALL, they are each unique in their own way and it is fun to see what makes each UNIQUELY "work."  It is the differences I appreciate, really; I am totally fascinated by all the different ways love can reveal itself, and how there is not and never will be a single "one-size-fits-all" way to love or be a great couple.

Then don't be surprised when the fans of the other couples can't resist the temptation to swipe at your couple.  All these theories on the thread about why there would be any animosity while, in my observation after being a member of many different Bachelor boards over the years, it really is this simple:  if you insist on celebrating your favorite couple while swiping at the other couples, their fans will swipe at yours.  Some words can be left off, whether you believe they are true or not.  JHMO.  

I do know what it is like to find that one couple that truly represents how you feel about love and life and can really, really relate to (even though mine didn't stay together, and now I just wait and see).  It is really special, and the friendships you make with those who share the feelings are unique in a way that can't be described.  I love seeing that side, too:  how it brings people together.   But there really is no "better" in all this; just "more relevant" to each unique fan.

I want to jump around the boards and see the joy and fun you are all having.  I really don't want to see anyone comparing.  It doesn't add anything at all for anyone.  You already KNOW that is how your fellow fans feel; that is why they are HERE.

BUT, I also you've had a rough time of late and I don't want to add to that ... so sorry

I do not go to any other forum and say bad things about the couples they like. I just want the same respect to be given to us. I follow Sean and Catherine because I love them and I really do not understand why people compare them with other couples in the forum. If I want to know about other couples I will follow them. I am writing in Sean and Catherine forum so I am not offending anyone. I am just give praise where it is due. My response has nothing to do with what I am personally going through, it is all about supporting Sean and Catherine. I know how to separate issues.

dw_a_mom, everything you are saying is exactly how I feel. As fans of a Christian couple, why should there be so much ill will towards the other couples? Shouldn't we embrace true love as fans of this show, and celebrate all the couples. Yes, this is a Sean and Catherine fan section, and I am a huge, huge, huge fan. But I feel sick almost reading such awful things said not only here but in other sections of the board against our couple, this couple, that couple, etc. Celebrating love is what it should be about imo. And no, we don't have to discuss other couples in depth over here, but mentioning them from time to time in a positive manner is fine imo. Sean and Catherine have an incredible love but they have not been married ten years as Trista and Ryan, who have a different experience and relationship. Everyone is at different stages. Sean and Catherine are newlyweds, Ashley and JP are thinking of starting a family, Desiree is planning a wedding, and Trista and Ryan have two beautiful children and renewed their vows. One is not better than the other. You can be a fan of one more than the other without putting down any other couple and saying they are better. As much as I love Sean and Catherine they haven't been through as much as Trista and Ryan, through infertility and ten years of marriage ups and downs and two children. They are all in different places, but nobody is better or worse. I am a fan of all the couples, some more than other, Sean and Catherine are my favorite, but I root for all the couples of this show.

I know it is separate, I just feel bad for choosing something you said as an example, when I know how it's been.  I wasn't trying to get into an argument, I just saw the speculation and then I saw an example of what I believe really fuels the flame.

Most people like all the couples, will read all the forums, and want to feel happy when doing so.   It is possible to celebrate a favorite without implying anything is "less" about a different couple.  It would be my preference as a general "fan of the show but especially the rare true love story" if everyone could do that.

Do not get me wrong I am not stopping anyone from loving other couples but I just said this is Sean and Catherine forum so why not celebrate Sean and Catherine only here and if you want to celebrate other couple with my blessings do it in their forum.  I am so tired of hearing about other couples in Sean and Catherine's forum.  If I am interested in other couple I will visit their forums.

iloveromance, thank you for getting what I was trying to say. I also apologize that my point ended up being made on this board, because I realize that it could apply anywhere.

Perhaps I should also consider that maybe as a Christian I do kind of expect more when Christian values are being celebrated. Just, everyone, remember what Christ said about who sits where at the wedding banquet.

As a Christian that is why I am also just interested in the couple that shares the same beliefs that I uphold.  That is also why I do not go about other forum and judge their couples.  Just to be clear if anyone attacks my brothers and sisters in Christ I will step in the gap for them.  People are quick on judging Sean and Catherine and when we turn the mirror back to them they seem not to like it.
