I think it's tradition in some places for the wedding party (maid of honor especially) to decorate the honeymoon suite. I did that for my best friend when she got married, I just remember the rose petals and candles. So if they know someone will drop in to decorate that could explain the cam, but it does seem tacky, especially if there isn't a point besides a wink wink nudge joke.
