I thought and thought about posting this message in the middle of the joy for Sean and Catherine, but my feelings for all of you who are no longer "strangers" won out.
Just as Sean and Catherine are at the beginning of their fairy tale love story, I am at the end of mine.
My sweet husband of 55 years has passed and is at peace.
I can only hope that Sean and Catherine will experience the joy, friendship, love and laughter that my family and I have shared with him.
There is so much happiness along with the sadness for me and my children and Grandchildren to have had him in our lives for so long.  He adored my romantic obsession with this charming couple in my "old foggy" years. . Every doctor, nurse, aid and hospice worker is now hooked on Seancat.
I will continue on to the wedding with all of you and think of young love and how we started and ended our own wonderful journey.

Oh Smartcat. So sad to hear this. Please know that we are here for you. I will be praying for peace and comfort for your entire family. I know your precious husband will be missed by all of you.

Smartcat, so sorry to hear of your loss! My mom and dad were also married for 55 years and my dad passed in November from cancer. Feels like yesterday. I'm glad you will be still joining us for their wonderful wedding. You have my sympathies!

I am so incredibly sorry for your loss smartcat. I am glad that you have the support of your family at this difficult time. It must be of some comfort to reflect on all your wonderful memories of the times you have shared with your husband. Again, so sorry to hear this.

Oh dear smartcat, so sad to hear of your husband's passing. I've always thought he'd fully recovered after coming home last from rehabilitation... Oh no. This is really sad news. May The Lord comfort you and your family during this trying time and may his soul RIP. We'll be praying for you.
