I agree gabriele... he looks haggard :Nod: . I haven't kept up over the past 4-5 months, has he been running ragged? I've also noticed the same from Graham Bunn... looks super thin and tired. some of these contestants need to step away, totally away, from the franchise I think. it does nothing but pull them down.

I've thought so to. I'd love to see a sparkle in eye. Funny tweets from him above but it's hard to see the reference to a hard year. I think that comes from a place of truth. I still say that day in Antigua took as much out of his as Des - he was gutted by it. There's no way he wanted to be the cause of so much hurt to someone.

Glad to get a token glimpse of him later this summer on BIP. Seeing him in these BachNation pics has makes me want to go revisit some old favorite videos I haven't watched in many months. Off I go ...

Gabrielle, is it unhappy or uncomfortable? To me,he always looks
uncomfortable when he's with the franchise crowd. I noticed
it when he came down for JPG ATFR. It's like ick on his face.

I adore Brooks, what he did with Des took a tremendous amount of courage. He could easily have played along and got engaged and then broken up with her a couple of months later, but he chose to be honest and try to free her to be with a man who could truly want to be with her forever.

I didn't want him on BiP, because I just don't think he is like most of these people. Like his good friend Eric, they both stood out in exceptional ways. I don't know that Brooks can pretend his emotions that well or be as catty as most of these people.

To me Brooks looks happiest when he is away from all of them.

I also think that losing Eric was incredibly hard. The death of a true friend doesn't go away quickly.

As with Dylan, I understand both of them wanting to get away from the sorrow of losing people they cared about, but this is the best group of people to be around when you are grieving.

^^^^ I agree with your post. I do think Eric's passing probably made things a little sad for him. He could have been having so much fun with Eric.

maybe it just brings up a lot of hard memories since he said it's been a hard year and then eric's passing. i know when i've looked at his thread here other times he sounded like he was doing fine. i hope things get better for him. i may tune in to that one epi of BIP just to see him.

I've noticed that too. Even with the few appearances he's made on TV, he seems sad and has lost the sparkle in his eyes. He's smiling in pictures, but it looks strained. Hopefully he bounces back soon.
