That could be a possibility. Do all the taped stuff that the weddings usually include and show it in a pre-show on an earlier night. Then on the 26th the first hour is the wedding and it moves into the reception afterwards. Just the logistics alone of moving all the guests from the wedding site to the reception would take more than a commercial break but it could be filled with live interviews from CH to Bachelor Nation or even the Lowe's themselves.

The only other way I see around it is if the wedding and the reception are in the same place so that the guests sit at tables to watch them marry. Then theres no herding cattle involved.

I don't think the guest will sit at tables to watch the ceremony- the kids want a traditional ceremony.  Or There are venues though (if weather is cooperative of course) where the wedding can be outside right next to an inside area (or inside/outside if warm) even inside to inside and the transition is quite quick.  And guest could be clued in to grab a glass of champagne on their way into the reception.  It may also be the reason for the 150 guests- 400 guests take a little longer to move from place to place.

Or, they could do an intro with interviews of Bachelor Nation, cut to the live ceremony, back to the prerecorded stuff leading up to the wedding while the guests exit and arrive at the reception, then reception toasts and first dance.... over and out.

I REALLY want to see the first dance and it just seems like it will be such a rush to get everyone into the reception area and do the usual introductions and stuff and then get to the dance. I'm not too happy about this LIVE thing as it seems like everything has to be rushed to fit it all in. And you know weddings, often things don't go as smoothly as you'd like it to. Wahh.... hope we get to see the dance!

I get what you're saying.  I see the first part being taped stuff from the planning because the vendors get that publicity for the freebies they are providing and then the ceremony live but then I guess they could do the interviews with the former bach couples, etc right after the ceremony instead of before (to fill time), get everyone into the reception venue and show the first dance.  Then after the dance is over, the show is over, and they could go back and get their pics taken, etc and return to the reception w/o cameras.

How about commercials? Cat mentioned commercial breaks during the live broadcast. How will they incorporate all that and also show the pre-recorded segments? I don't believe they intend to go up against the Grammys.

This wedding is already going to be different from past weddings. I think they'll go for a 2part wedding special. Show part1 in the week leading up to the wedding day. That way they could show more behind the scenes stuff and then only broadcast the wedding and reception on the 26th. I am not worried about it being rushed at all. I truly believe the whole thing will be well orchestrated and we'll get to see the dance too.

My 2 cents. It may be in the wording, get married live on TN. Does that mean some filmed production to bring everyone to the point of the guests being seated. Then live for the processional and the actual wedding ceremony and the recessional. Quick interview with the bride and groom after they are MR and Mrs? I'm really sure the wedding ceremony and the reception will be at the same place. That would facilitate the guests getting the reception after the wedding quickly. I agree that the number of people is smaller then we thought due to the need to move things along quicker than with 200 or 250 guests. Many weddings have a cocktail 1/2 hour on as guests regroup to go into the formal reception and they could randomly interview people at that time and then film Catherine and Sean coming into the main dining room and being introduced for the first time as Mr and Mrs Lowe. I don't see how they could film any more of the reception than that cause the newly married don't want to rush stuff out of sequence and they want a long wonderful long big fun family and friend PARTY.

I think the only LIVE part will be CH intro'ing the prerecorded stuff, the actual wedding and whatever they give us of the reception. The rest will be prerecorded, including the alumni interviews which will probably be done earlier in the day. and we may get CH visiting Sean and Catherine briefly as they get ready. Very similar to an ATFR.

The reason I think there's going to be more than one "episode" is that they do have all the product placement to do. The suppliers are not going to stand to be part of the credits at the end- especially with the Emmy's airing on another channel.

The more I think about it, I think they absolutely will show the first dance. Sean was on DWTS after all and he kept saying how it would prepare him for the first dance and how they would take lessons for it. I think that's going to be shown, and Sean knows he talked it up, so he will make sure it's included imo. I don't think we get much more of the reception than that, maybe the toasts, but that's about it. But we've never gotten more than that from the other Bachelor receptions, so that's okay.

 We are a funny bunch. For months and months all we wanted to know was when the wedding was and then we'd be happy. Now we know, and we are still wanting to know more. We make me laugh!
