Sharleen was higher on his radar as of this point in filming it seems, which would make Nikki more conservative. She gets a late date, and it seems like her relationship won't heat up until Sharleen takes herself out of the picture to continue with her career (and it becomes clear she's not oriented professionally to prioritize Cam_EEEE_la and other children to exclusion of her singing career. Claire just has that Second Choice vibe all over her edit to me. Daddy Issues, Insecurity, and she is chasing him in the edit, not vice versa.

One of Fleiss' major themes over the course of the series is the appeal/success of the Girl Who Must be Chased, vs. the one with Issues. His misogyny always outs in the edit. For Nikki, she's one of those "late in the season" pops like Jef Holm edit wise. Clare is getting the Bunny-Boiler edit, poor thing.

Agree with you on all counts, particularly watching who the lead chases vs who chases the lead. From what I see, so far Sharleen is top of the list, followed by Andi and a more distant Nikki. Funny how his top picks both apparently take themselves out. I wonder if any others wanted to leave but weren't allowed?

Sprite, (or anyone else that knows) if someone wanted to leave could they really stop them? I know there are all sorts of ways probably that TPTB can put pressure on them to do or not do something. Does the contract change for contestants that are there towards the end? It didn't seem to matter for Brooks and we know he was in the top three.

I don't know if they could really stop them...in the legal sense despite the contract they sign...could they be sued for forcible confinement? Don't know, but I do know that they know these contestants inside out and could in all probability manipulate them into staying. Give it a chance, you're just nervous, he/she is really into you, you need to stay because you could be the next bachelor/ette, etc.

Right now the only one I see JP chasing after is Sharleen. Of course this is only what we are allowed to see, I'm sure to make her self elimination more dramatic. I have to say, I liked his conversation with Nikki, seemed the most natural to me

I totally agree with you. She is like I think I would be in that situation. Not falling over him, probably with my arms crossed, LOL!

Now when they were leaning on the railing, she looked completely relaxed with him.

I hate when a girl says "you're different with him than with us"... I would answer "I didnt know you wanted me to French kiss you?"

On Nikki herself, so far I have seen nothing to show she is nasty. If you look at the last RC, she was on the far right with the other girls who already had a rose, but when the last girl sent home goes to JP, we have a shot of the remaining girls and Nikki is in the middle, shows that she moved to hug the departing girls.
Sonething previous "villain" Courtney didnt use to do (and TPTB showed us very clearly).

I think without RS's comments, we would never have thgouht she would be the B. And I have a feeling that people who "know" she was may have been told by disgruntled girls who didnt get picked... :hidingchair

Agree with EVERYTHING you said Soph! Have been thinking the same things about Clare and about RS's comments about Nikki being fabricated by disgruntled girls! 100% right on!

Think it's because Clare, Sharleen, & Renee have drawn all the attention so far. Once the drama with Nikki starts up soon (Monday's show?) then this thread will pick right back up!
