The hype cycle - previews, interviews, bloggers, live tweeters,  etc , every week leading up to Monday, will be gone.  Lots of viewers just move on to their next favorite show; the negative ones that don't can be ignored on social media and actually proof of just how many are rude themselves. If it's a no-pick, media will just bash until they poop themselves out because he will be old news with nothing new to report.  If he did pick someone, they have already aired rumors: parents live with him, still in love with Carla, deadbeat dad, short on cash, seasonally employed, not good in bed (that one started yesterday), fighting with chosen (this week), fake proposal.  There isn't much more to hit him with and people aren't interested in a rehash of the same old thing.
I really think media has basically exhausted their ugly quota.

He wasn't making fun of mentally disabled person. It was the people that took it and turned it into that. That word today isn't even really associated with mentally disabled people anymore. When said it refer to people who are acting stupid.

ITA, Seriously, these people....

^^ For someone who presumably was aiming for a career in/with the media, though, he didn't intend to disappear after being the Bachelor. So he will have to be out of LA if he doesn't want to appear in the tabs. The don't need to find new information about him, they'll fabricate it.
