Yeah I can imagine thebgirls in that group calling all their friends and family after the meeting to tell them who was in their group!

If they are taking pre-marital counseling now, there's no way the wedding is as late as spring and we know that is wont be between January-March because JuanPa is airing so that really only leaves Nov and Dec. Woot!

There are some couples who put more emphasis on the wedding than the marriage.  This shows Sean and Cat really have such good heads on their shoulders.  They are totally committed to building a strong marriage and not just planning a great wedding.  I have much respect for them.  They are not just rushing into marriage but building a solid foundation.  

This plus hearing about Carey's dance lessons ..... oh, this is a good day!

Oh, I'm happy to hear this.  This just emphasizes how committed they are to their upcoming marriage.  Good for them!

 As long as two people take it seriously, I think pre-marital classes/counseling are one of the best things a couple can do to to foster a healthy, happy marriage.

I hope the other couples are not telling their friends everything that goes on in these sessions.  Should be kept private.  I am not familiar with these type of counseling sessions.  Has anyone gone in for premarital counseling sessions like this?  Is it usually done shortly before a wedding?  If someone was having a wedding the following year, would it be too early to go in for counseling?  Just curious.

I would be certain that the pastor- whether Jay, or grandpa, or Sean's Dallas pastor (those 3 would be at the top of the list) would all insist that they do premarital counseling- probably as part of a class at his (Sean's) church. Making it a requirement doesn't make it a chore, however, and I am certain that they look at it very positively- as a way to build their marriage. As someone above said, many make such a big deal of the wedding they forget to build the more important thing- the marriage.

I am really looking forward to their big day- because I know they will honor their love, their parents and God all at the same time!

That was my thought too Lipsis. In my experience these groups usually meet for like six weeks and usually close to the wedding. The fact they have started this as soon as they got back to Dallas plus Carey's dance lessons makes me think November/ Dcember timeframe ! Woohoo!

I just checked. The cycle of classes began tonight and ends 10/30.
