Atem, can you explain what mean by your statement? I am just curious on your thoughts on what he was thinking and feeling while the show was airing. I know what I think so was wondering exactly how you took all his song choices.

He said that he's been in love before and he wasn't in love with Desiree. He didn't regret his decision and didn't think of coming back. That he took so long with the break up, because he had 4 days to think about it while Desiree was just finding out and he wanted her to accept it. So, when he was saying he was hoping she was in love with Chris or Drew, he really meant that.

Atem, I understand what you are saying and I know this is what Brooks himself has said so I believe him as well. I think some posters may be getting a mixed message from some of the music he was listening to during the show's airing that may have been read as him having different feelings than what he has stated and based on some of the titles, I can see where they could think that. I myself listen to all sorts of music all the time and I really don't listen for anything except for my own pleasure - no hidden meanings, I just happen to like the music. Occasionally, some songs may bring back memories but more often than not, I just happen to like the song. Anyway, it is always interesting to get others' viewpoints on things However, I do think he did have feelings for Des and especially early on it was very obvious, I just don't believe this was the right process for him to let them grow.

Thanks Atem for your explanation, I still say his heart needed more time to catch up to what his head already knew. He loved so many things about her, I could go on but I would only be deadhorse

. But I still wish they were together.

Les Mis is not playing in NYC now... unfortunately. Maybe he saw the movie.
