Congratulations umngirl!

I can't help but think Sean must be so happy for Cat. Remember when he said he was a little disappointed when her sisters mentioned Cat's dream was to go to NY and start a career there? He seemed a little sad that she had not told him that was her dream. But I think that had been a dream of hers at first but once she fell in love with him, it was no longer important to her. I think her second choice was LA for career move. Sean always said he wanted to support her dreams so I think he must be very happy for her.

Wow. Catherine found her creative juice again. I'Mm really happy for her. Its such a waste if she is not using it. What an intelligent, talented, witty lady. Im so glad she made a friend out of Pandora. I pressume she will write about food or vegan food again. Or may have other passion that we dont know. She is such a gem.

Wifey followed 20 people today including shay's husband and her dad Carey :) . Nothing just sharing :) so she just woke up .

I don't know. Obviously she'll follow Sean to wherever, I think she is that kind of woman, but Dallas just doesn't seem "her," and Sean is going to want to live where she'll be happy, too. Maybe they could live in Austin? Sort of a compromise?

Happy to hear she is finding new career opportunities that we'll all be able to share in!

Why not Dallas? It is interesting that Dallas has the reputation that is does because the city of Dallas (which is where Sean lives) is just like any other big city - a mix of conservative and liberal, big businesses, small businesses, great shopping, excellent food, etc. It is actually one of the fashion hubs with a great fashion market several times a year. It is a great city and people who live in Houston do not usually say that! Out in the suburbs where his parents and sister live much more conservative. Austin is a college town with some tech industries located there that is crazily expensive and incredibly crowded. And I'm not sure the KSU Wildcat would live in the home of the Texas Longhorns!

not sure why some feel like Dallas wouldn't be a good fit for Catherine ... like you mentioned, Dallas has become a culturally diverse multiplex full of whatever it is that floats your boat, no matter who you are or where you come from, especially if you are tech, business, food, sports, or fashion oriented - and it's ethnic makeup is just as diverse, with a fairly significant Filipino presence to boot; in fact, Dallas is the only "alpha" rated world city (a highly desired rating for cities worldwide and attributable to a city's economic, cultural, political, and infractructural characteristics) in the south central U.S., and one of only ten cities in the U.S. to have such a designation (of note, Seattle does not have the alpha designation - they are a "beta" rated city). I can assure you that with a metropolitan population of nearly 7 million (not a misprint), there's something for everyone in the Metroplex (as the Dallas-Fort Worth area is know), including Catherine

I think all of us get caught up in stereotypes from time to time, yet this couple continues to enlighten. Given that Catherine appears to love and really get along with Sean's friends, and seems to crave a family like his, and knowing that Dallas is a cosmopolitan city (yes, it's not at all like Seattle, but Catherine claimed to be "expired" there), I absolutely see them moving to Dallas.
