Nannymargie, I am still here. I know I got advice to not watch any more show episodes but I broke down and did. Re-watched the first date, HTD and break up. I still don't get what happened. During the break up she says something like"when did you know? It seemed like at the hometown you were so excited". Then he says something that makes no sense...something like "having feelings in Midera...I didn't know what they were"...I have to listen to it again but it made NO sense. He was so in love with Des (JMO) at the end of the HTD I just don't see how he could go from those feelings to the break up. I still think it was the expectation of a proposal at the end that freaked him out. Even with his mom and sister he says, "A proposal in two weeks makes me really uncomfortable". :Frown:

I wish Des hadn't gotten engaged at the end and would have just dated Chris. That's the part that makes the ending so unbelievable. The things she said during the break up about how she felt about Brooks and the other guys makes it crazy to think of an engagement to Chris. Even after she had time to regroup when she was talking to the camera about Chris and Drew that love her she knew she couldn't give them the love they deserve. Some people say she said those things because she was exhausted but the truth is she said she was in love with Brooks for weeks and it was pretty clear that he was F1. I wonder if she felt pressure from TPTB to go ahead with the engagement....you know that's what they wanted.

I know watching show episodes is probably crazy but I like seeing Brooks and Des together. To me it is still a wonderful love story that developed even though the ending was shocking and sad. I also love the relationships between the guys, seems like some good friendships developed. I hope Des and Chris can make it work. I hope she doesn't have regrets.

Love all the pics of Brooks. He seems really nice to his fans....boy does he get around! :yes:

Hey Rolly, I also think that the proposal at the end scared him. He takes all this seriously and that was just moving too fast for him. Would he have gotten to the finish line an be in love with Des, there is no doubt in my mind he would have. Since he was the front runner all along, God knows what his producer and handler were feeding him to really doubt what Des felt for him. On the day of the break up you could tell he had no idea how she felt. He even said he thought she was conflicted with the other relationships.
But it is what it is and we will get over it eventually.

The show didn't show him that much to me. Let alone the relationship with the guys. The first half was basically about Ben and James.

As for the show, I'm so glad that is done & I am fine with Juanpa being the next Bachelor. Not that I care who he picks. I'm still wishing for the final 2 to dump the lead. Hee.

Are you going to watch the show then? I know I personally don't plan to - Juan Pau does not do it for me nor do I really enjoy a bunch of women acting catty and it seems like Juan Pau show may have a lot of that. I much prefer the Bachelorette with all its eye candy plus the bromances. But I am happy that this show is ended - I invested a lot of my summer on this show as it is although I am enjoying keeping up with Brooks (more so than I ever have on any previous contestant).
