I don't really like what happened to Chris, but TPTB were going to have him propose come hell or high water. Rejecting his proposal on national television and telling him you just want to date might not have been the greatest start for them.

I do hate how she has answered the Brooks questions. The answer to all those questions was/is I hope that I would have seen the light by the end because I am madly in love and with the right person.

You are spot on, Karen. This is a forum to discuss the contestants, not the posters.

We are never going to know the complete truth. People have formed their opinion for/against Des/Chris or Des/Brooks and nothing is going to change that.

It is a Brooks discussion group where we can discuss the season, the good, the bad, the ugly of it all and NOT be in a fan forum.

Why can't we let each camp do their own thing and stop stirring the pot? People have their minds made up and they are not going to change, no matter what others say. And why should they?

Each one has the right to their opinion and each person that has an opinion is right. We don't have to agree with each other, nor do we have to make others feel like they are idiots or wrong if they have a difference of opinion. There is no I'm right, you're wrong. There is only different.

This is a reaity TV show about people we do not know personally. They are not a part of our intimate circle or family. I personally don't see the point in arguing and fighting over it. People are dying. That's reality.

Yeah, that. peace
Soory to cut part of your post, but I 100% agree with the above part. I didn't/don't/and probably won't agree with all Brooks and Chris fans all the time, but I didnt/don't go to individual threads to express myself. As long as they stay in the fan threads, whatever they post does not bother me at all. Unfortunately I have seen people post not so positive comments in fan threads. I mean I am not in any position to tell people where or what to post, but can't we all give each other some space? Was it even worse during Jef/Ariel time?
Now I am going back to Drew Fan thread:hidingchair
Yes!!! This is nothing compared to the open warfare from that season. This is why the fan forums were created. That was a mess. I hope never to have to go throught that again.

Since you asked, yes, I do. And not only in this thread. I don't see how bringing over posts with those posters' names accomplishes any good, but that's just me. You feel as you do, and they feel as they do, which is fine. You said their feelings were weird or why would they say those things? Because that is how they feel and should be able to say that in a fan forum, just like the Chris fans do in his fan thread. My impression is this a "Brooks" forum, to discuss things he did or didn't do on the show, or debate among posters about Brooks - fan or not - not other poster's posts.

I'm not a "fangirl" of any contestant (and don't like that term), and I like to read all the threads. Some comments get petty in all the threads, in my opinion, but certainly not to the point where I would ever be upset about it or complain to a moderator. And I've never gotten to the point where I've had to Foe someone, it's just not that important to me. We are all entitled to our opinion, and should be able to state them respectfully.

I bet if Des saw some of these new pictures that have been posted she would wonder why she didn't try harder to keep him. She sure could have been giving him better signs that he was the one.
IMO, this is the kind of thing that is posted in the Brooks thread that does seem extremely weird to me.  Why in the world would it matter to the Brooks fans what Des does.  This is almost at the disrespect level that I was talking about.  Why would/should she give signs to Brooks that he's the one if he just WASN'T the one.

It's funny you should say that because I was just thinking tonight that I wonder if, when Chris isn't around, Des gets on her laptop and checks out Brooks' Twitter site and looks at all his Instagram pictures. giggling  I can't imagine that she's not curious and hasn't done it
.
Why say things like that.  Why would it matter to Chris or Des what Brooks has done or how he looks in pics?  I seriously doubt that Des is doing Brooks fangirling considering she's found the one that she truely loves.

It has been said that she just settled for Chris, but from what I have seen/heard, he was likely going to be her F1 anyways.  I am really glad that she's happy!
To the bolded, may i just pop up and give this emoticon? speechless  speechless  speechless
Now i can recall correctly the reasons why i just lurked into Brooks thread no more than 3 times (pre, during, and post-show) for the entire season!..NO kidding.no no
Just wanna let you know Aunties..that we, the Chrisvillers, do enjoy your posts, even during the time when you were saying no Chris as the F1

My impression is that it is a forum that is open that things regarding Brooks and other thoughts on him can be discussed. If there is a post in the Brooks fan forum that I feel warrants further discussion, this seems to be the only place where that discussion can take place. But during the season, anything that was in the Brooks forum was open and fair game to discuss there, now that isn't the case so this is the only place to do so. So when I find someones post that has a sentiment or feeling in it that I would like to discuss further, then I should be able to bring that post over to here and discuss it.

I agree with you 100%. I honestly don't understand why stuff in one thread is being brought into another thread. If the threads were created because there was disagreement and ill feeling happening and the desire was to give people a place they could be comfortable, taking posts meant to be viewed in one thread and placing them in a thread they were never intended for is just trying to cause trouble, imo.

Well, then let's discuss something susbtantive. I'd like to discuss if people really think Brooks was asked to be the next Bachelor. I think not. Remember last year when Arie said he'd been asked but turned it down and no one believed it? I think the chances Arie was asked are 10 times the chances that Brooks was asked. At least Arie actually fell in love and got seriously heart broken. Why would they ask a proven committment phobe who is so self-unaware he didn't realize til the very last second he didn't and never would love Des? Great lead he would be. Sorry, JMHO.

I think he was approached, CH appeared to be indicating that in some of his comments. But I also think they approached a number of people and not sure how serious they were with the approach to Brooks. Juan Pablo should be an entertaining bachelor, so they probably got the right one in the end.

SO, do you think it is fair for posters to talk about another poster/slam another poster in another thread, namely the fan thread for Brooks? that is what's been happening. The posts I have brought over here to discuss are a poster's opinion versus the poster themselves. I haven't called posters names, yet it's been done about me a few times now. Just wanting to know what is right and wrong here.
