No, it is most definitely not just you! There have been comments here and elsewhere by people saying that he did not look particularly into the Clare date...or any date thus far. To me, he seemed to get more excited about wearing that glow in the dark track suit than anything else last night.

Just because Clare makes it very far and is possibly in the F2 (from SC analysis) does not mean he is into her. She could just be the best of the worst   . Or defaulted to F2 because "others" bowed out at some point. We don't know.

On the subject of Clare (pros/cons for being F1), in one interview JP said something about his (possible) choice needing to organize her work life (or something to that effect). Now if Clare was f1, would she have a problem transferring her work ? She's a hair dresser and till now I have haven't heard of re-qualification for hairdressers from state to state or even country to country. Yes if it is Andi or Nikki or even Renee they would possibly have to go back to school to re-qualify. Sharlene too would have a career to consider.

I found an interview where Juan talks about what he expects his F1 to do.  Not sure if this is the one you are looking for:

"Q: Juan, during your introductory clips you seem to talk a lot about how you're looking to find a girl to move to Miami, be a step mom to your daughter and hopefully be a mom to a couple or a few more kids.  So I guess does that mean you weren't really interested in like an independent girl who was very focused on building her career, and maybe not looking to have kids in the next few years and I was also…..Moving to Miami was a deal breaker for you or if you were actually open to moving to wherever your girl might be if you select her?

Juan Pablo: No - no, on the moving part I don't like Miami.  I don't know where, you know, how they say that that I want to move, you know, I don't like Miami that much.  I don't like the weather.  So and I travel a lot, that's why to me base is Miami but I travel a lot.  But definitely I want somebody very independent, career wise.  I respect a lot what a person does for a living.  And I want to have kids right away, but if I'm with somebody and she's like, listen, I have my career and this and that, I understand it.  

There's no like no, no I want kids right now.  No, no.  I respect that a lot because I love people when they respect what I do for a living.  You know, if somebody's an architect and she (has work) to buy for two weeks and she has - her career is getting bigger and bigger, I will respect that 100 percent whenever we're ready, we'll be ready to have kids.

And Miami, who would ever, you know?   Obviously I'll have to find somewhere that I can be - that is easier for me to do what I do for a living and maybe for that person, what she does for a living too.  So, you know, there's got to be a conversation and a couple's, you know, decision at the end of the day."

I assumed he would be tied to Miami. Interesting. What does he do again?

That answer really made no sense. (Compare this answer to his blogs. Does anyone seriously think he writes those?)

As for an answer to your question...I believe he is supposed to be some kind of sports promoter for the Venezuelan
baseball hall of fame. No doubt one of those lovely occupations that the producers made up for the public like dog lover and free spirit. My understanding is he works for his mom.

JP's career .. I thought he was sports/music agent/promoter.

Wonder if there is family money ... they seem to have nice house!

Does Camilla live with Juan Pablo? Does he have joint custody with her mom? Is the mom even involved with Camilla? Would Juan moving to another area/state be a problem with respect to keeping involved in Camilla's life...either Juan or the mom, depending on who has primary custody?

Sorry, I don't know Juan's back story because I only watched the last couple of episodes of Des's season.

Camilla lives with her mum, Juan has her from Friday after school for the week-end.

^^Thanks, Sophie! Gosh, thinks makes me think that he would have a problem moving since he seems so devoted to his daughter. Even though he said he wouldn't have an issue with it, maybe he had to say it for the sake of the show...to keep the F1 choice more vague.

I'm not really sure why he would have to do that. I don't remember any of the contestants residing in Miami itself.
Its not like his situation is like Emily M who could have moved since she did not really have an ex-spouse to co-ordinate with. It would be really hard for JaunP to move if his ex is based in Miami with no wish/ability to uproot herself.

I originally brought up the point about him and/OR is F1 moving because I was trying to figure out which of the ladies might have some "issues" with moving. JP did mention that there might be a point that he and the lady would have to discuss this.
He also spoke about the timing of starting a new family - said that would be dependent on her career status. Which tells me he picked a career woman.

IMO Clare would have the least problems - professionally speaking. She would not need to re-qualify and get herself re-hired. At best family would be a constraint for her. I'm assuming here that from SC evidence we have Clare in the F2 and therefore a strong contender for F1. She is a hair stylist and therefore not subject to corporate restrictions.


These are just my thoughts and possibly completely off track lol.

I'm working on some thoughts regarding the New Zealand dates. Assuming the numbers breakdown like normal, we figured 9 girls go there. nd, I know you kind of answered this for me the other day, but I can't remember in which thread; so I'm asking again...and to anyone.

Is this the usual breakdown for the 9 girls?

2 girls go on separate 1-on-1 dates, 2 girls go on a 2-on-1 date, and 5 girls go on the GD

OR is it...

1 girl goes on a 1-on-1 date, 2 girls go on a 2-on-1 date, and 6 girls go on the GD
