Drew Kenney - Bachelorette 9 Contestant - Discussion - Spoilers

You pointed the early connection between Des and Drew amd I wanted to add a little more about it.

First, i'm going to explain where i speak from: i have got a deafness problem since my teenage so i regularly fail to ear correctly one or more word in a sentence. I had to develop other skills to keep my ability to communicate efficiently with people. One of these skills is body language reading. Second english is my second language (imagine my every day life ;-) so i have to use body language more for four years now.

Since the very first episode, i found amazing the huge and reciprocal attraction between Des and Drew. You couldn't imagine how many "I want you" gesture messages they send to each other each time they meet. These signs are only about physical connection but are really meaningfull because people can't control them. In the same time the Brooks body language showed that he was not into Des, he was only very comfortable in front camera (what Drew is absolutly not despite his modeling job) and a charming man. During the diner in Madeira and the HTD, it was completly obvious that he wanted to "escape" from this relationship. His mother send him many "no go" signs too (and when i wrote this here Brooks fans were upset).

So I can't predict who will be the F1 but i can tell you honestly the only true and reciprocal connection from the very beginning was with Drew.

We don't see Drew leave in the previews. And we don't see Brooks come back either. But that is not definitive either. Reading Chris Harrison's blog, I didn't get the feeling Chris H thinks Brooks will come back although there is a possibility.

Another thing Des said early on was in response to Diogo and the knight in shining armor. She said she did envision her knight riding on a horse but without the suit of armor. Doesn't Drew ride the horse on the horseback riding date?

Another thing is Des seems very happy on her kayak rowing date and the boat date with Chris. She doesn't seem to be heartbroken in those segments, but truly having a great time.

I don't get this kayak ride she has with Chris either, did she bounc back after Brooks drama?... I thnk that's way to soon doesn't she need time to lick her wounds?
I remember her saying to Zack at the men tell all that's she's just like him in a lot of way, that she smiles and pretend that everything is okay.. Or something like that.

If I had a son who was as poorly treated as Drew was by TPTB and Bachnation post-show, I'd be there. I'd probably have less than pleasant things to say to them as well. Utter disrespect for him and his family but I shouldn't expect much else from production.

I agree veg..he sure has taken a beating in the media world too...

I agree, like it is his fault that he is so good looking. Men can be still be pretty and straight. I don't understand the attacks on his sexuality.
I also don't want him to be F1 because Des has publicly declared her love for Brooks. I mean, I don't even know how she can explain away that if anyone other Brooks is his F1.

Misticia, I agree with you 100%. To me it is so obvious that Drew and Des are in love. In episode 6, you think this is the first date/1-1 encounter, but there are 2 deleted scenes, one from Atlantic City and one from Germany in the snow. So much chemistry, and they seem in love from the beginning. And he was first out of limo as well, and he was the only one she made the umm mmm sound as she watched him walk away, as if saying "muy caliente". Des says that Brooks was first out of the limo. Brooks was shown 2nd but Drew and Brooks were both a little similar in that they were both nervous and they both forgot to introduce themselves. But she made the approval sound after Drew. I'm wondering if she forgot? But if she had such a great first impression of Brooks, why didn't she give him a First Impression Rose? If you go back and look at her dates with Brooks, they don't "make out" (the term she used for Drew kissing her in the alley in Barcelona), he gives her little pecks on the lips. The first time they had a long kiss was after HTD when they were saying goodbye, but Brooks's body language was still not that of a man who loves a woman. He usually only has one hand on her such as her shoulder. The episode where Chris was grilling her as to how she felt about the men, the one when she told Chris H that she had reached the finish line and was in love with Brooks, she did not say it with any passion or feeling. She said it like she was reporting the weather (like ABC forced her to say it, ) And he asked her about her feelings for Chris, and she said was falling in love with Chris. But Chris H never asked her once if she was falling in love with Drew!! This is very telling! First, she is not supposed to say she loves one of the men, and ABC could have easily edited that out (unless they had an ulterior motive wink wink) and secondly, Chris could have asked her if she was in love with Drew and maybe she said yes and they edited that out. Because it is odd that Chris asked her about 2 of the 3, but not Drew. So viewers think she said she loves Brooks, but she would not have said this if Chris H had not pointedly asked her the question. And the way they frankenbite these sentences, she could have said I'm falling in love with Drew and they substituted Drew for Brooks. Just think it is telling that Chris H glossed over Drew.

Loved your comment! I so agree! So many think the chemistry is between Des and Brooks, and no chemistry between Des and Drew, and I think, are we watching the same show?

the family had a team Drew t-shirt with a rose on for weeks..now, if my brother or son got dumped on national tv,, l wouldn't even watch the show..specially after Des saying over and over again throughout the season she loves Brooks...the only way l would watch it, and be okay with it is if it worked out well with Drew..

Well team Drew..to me means they are for their son no matter of the outcome...
