No, that article wasn't describing the FD, it was being generic in that.

Anything I post means it's Just My Opinion.  Don't feel like posting it every time I post. So, I thought I'd get that out of the way.

Agree atem. Nothing new here at all. I see it merely as a misdirection from Brooks. They are trying to raise speculation and it's working. But that's just how I see it.

The one thing to me is that it confirms that Brooks tells her he is leaving and not just telling her "I can't propose" even if that is the reason he is leaving. The fact that he regrets it almost immediately goes with the screencaps of him crying. I still think he comes back and she takes him back. "I won't settle" means she won't accept a default F1 if her real F1 tries to redeem himself.

Quote from Des featured in US,
"I'm in a place in my life where I am so ready to get married and to find the right guy for me. I won't settle. It's all about timing."

More excerpts...

The home town dates really threw things up in the air for Desiree, says the show insider. "She could definitely see spending her life with more than one of these guys, and she didn't want to make the wrong decision. There was no longer a clear front-runner."

Forester - the only man who had yet to declare his love - caught her eye at the start, "He's witty and sarcastic," she tell US. "And that hair". Recently ousted Zak W says "I never thought Brooks was a match"
For her part, Hartsock says his flaw is a tendency to overanalyze "That's why his emotions were always up and down."

Kenney, on the other had, was a slow starter who gained ground with Hartsock after the spent time with his family....He even told Hartsock he loved her three times in less than a minute on July 15th episode - proclamations that eliminated suitor Juan Paublo Galavis thought were "forcing it too much."

Of all the 25 suitors Seigfried alone never seem to waver (outwardly at least) in his devotion. "In every kiss, I truly mean that I love you", he wrote in one of many poems to Hartsock. She calls him "supportive, manly, romantic" though his mother worried that scars of his last relationship hadn't quite healed.

At least Antiqua wasn't a total bust. The fantasy suite action is "hot and heavy". One of the guys even had to ask the cameras to leave!"

Hartsock was circumspect when asked about her outcome. "I'm glad that I did the show and I'm in a place in my life where I'm good and happy. That's all I can say". Stay Tuned

thanks so much for posting this info, sfrank.  I stumbled on the phrase in bold.  If the mag and/or Des is saying she was no longer sure after the HTDs.... in contrast to what Des actually said after the HTDs with CH... it makes me feel like she's backtracking... and that Brooks is NOT her F1.

It's a quote from a show insider. And judging from her reaction when Brooks leaves, I don't think she backtracked one bit!

Remember that Des understands the process and the feelings of uncertainty that Brooks is feeling because of it.

She has said many times that she knows where Brooks is coming from. She also knows the manipulation the producers put them through. Those are factors in her taking him back.

but that's not Des's word it's from the insider though and it was clear that Brooks was the frontrunner during HTD

The reason I said Chris is because they are give quotes for outsed suitors Zak and Juan against Brooks and Drew. And then set Chris up as perfect guy for her. I suspect that that reason we are also getting Brooks and Drew on every cover is because we may be getting Des and Chris "happy couple" on a future one. Believe me when I say this bums me out because I see it with Brooks and I want him to be F1. BTW, the article also gives no indication that Brooks returns or that there is a "twist" at the FRC.

If there was no longer a clear front-runner, why did Des tell Chris she is hopeful of a proposal at the end and with Brooks?

ETA: The article is conflicting with what she is saying on the show. It doesn't add up.

Also, they want us to think Brooks leaves for good and she ends up with Chris. Then the end that we never saw coming was Brooks ends up being the F1.

I'm not buying what they are selling. It's marketing strategy. But I will be the first to eat crow if I'm wrong!

What's new to me is that what ever Brooks does or says he regrets it immediately and Des says again that she won't settle. I still think it's Brooks in the end because she loves him and she wants for him to propose. Monday can't come soon enough! The FD sound pretty hot..... :fanningfan

I want to clarify that Des does NOT say that...its a "show insider". In fact, I think that's an outright lie because we all heard Des tells Chris her feeling were "solidified" after HTD and that she was still in love with Brooks. In fact she went even further after HTD and said that she wanted a proposal from him.
