First off, I am not a good sluether, but I posted above that I think it could possibly be the jacket Des is wearing on their Cloud 9 date. I don't know how to bring pictures over here. She is wearing a jacket that has a pull string for her hood which bunches up (look at some of the pictures of her from behind) and there is a zipper or something on the front of her jacket which could be that "beaded" part we're all trying to figure out. This could just be a picture from that date where he is hugging her and we will never see it now that it has aired.... of I could be totally wrong.  

I had a similar suggestion on Friday. There was a post from Asim a few days back where her friends who are retired editors/producers analyzed it and said it was someone hugging someone else vey tightly and the white object was material and that it was outdoor light likely late in the day and that the tears could be tears of joy because the eye wrinkles are up not down. I wondered if the white part was her HTD sweater fabric (up close it could look rope) and the top part that we think are beads could be her colorful scarf bunched up?? Just another thought. He may have been crying on their HTD after an emotional convo.

Looked like he was crying though! But, you could be right, it could just be distorted with how close up the camera is.

Just a suggestion about the thing/fabrik we see in this lightened SC :


I thought it could be wood or wicker/osier and then Brooks would be sitting on a chair or couch.

Is it one of Des' scarfs (and possibly an earring) as her is hugging her? She wears a lot of scarfs...they look great on her BTW. (Is scarfs spelled like this or scarves??? Just got up so I'm not gonna look it up). Maybe someone already suggested this...

I suggested that a few posts up On her HTD with Brooks she is wearing a white/beige sweater and a scarf. If you look at the picnic SCs, you can see it is a sweater and her scarf has a design that could be like what we see in the mystery SC.

The "beading" or whatever it is is what is throwing me off.

Thanks for the welcome. I usually just lurk. I posted back in the Jef/Emily mania and swore I wouldn't let myself get that crazy again (forgetting to go to work and such!). I had to create a new login this season because I didn't remember my old one.

I am bringing Asim's post from last week forward which is partly what sucked me into posting this season!!

Last night I had some friends over that were co-workers with me at Warner Bros. They were editors and producers all retired but have over 60 years experience. I asked them to look at the sc of Brooks where you see the turquoise color in the corner. I've always thought it was material, but wanted other opinions so a single screen shot on a 70" screen for 2 hours here is what they came up with. They did not see it in motion.
1. What are they trying to hide? That camera shot is (well I won't say what they said)
2. Sun is low on that 6'4" frame must be late in the day. Determined light source natural and diffused.
3. Tears running down Brooks Cheeks.
4. Brooks hugging someone very tight. They even got into the position (very funny)
5. Turquoise is definitely material must be the girls dress. Shoulder possibly
6. They weren't sure but thought it might be tears of joy instead of sorrow as the eyes wrinkles are pointing up..
Then I played it in motion. The editor said the dissolve into the next scene was very quick to hide something else and questioned the sound being dubbed in from another time.
I don't know but its interesting to hear what they had to say.
