Seems to me it's clear from the very first preview that Chris is in the Final 2.

I don't get what the big deal is. Yes, it's outside. Yes, there's a scene of Chris inside the room at the Galley Bay. He's in a suit with a white shirt in a limo and obviously has a LCD and even RS says he's in the Final 2.

It's called sleuthing. We obsess about everything and it pays off sometimes.

Nutty, kudos to you for confirming where Brooks was staying. I do think it looks like Chris is outside. Maybe the shot they often take of them contemplating the ring after picking it out.

But, we already know that Chris S. is in the Final 2.

He just got up and walked in front of a windo or something. Maybe him looking down is when he picked it out and then he looked at it again in his room or something.

No idea if this is helpful or if discussed already but I noticed a couple details in SCs today...

Horseback riding dude is wearing darker pink shorts and a dark purple or dark blue short sleeve t-shirt.  There is also at least one boat in the background in the harbor, which looks like a catamaran or sail boat. 

Think there are 2 different sets of BSG crying pics? In the first set (Des fingers in brow) it's bright sunshine and the background is palm trees.  In the second set (Des covered face or crying) it is a lot less sunny and the background looks white and wicker.  Brooks' limo ride is much less sunny/later in the day as well. But all are same clothes.  Neither Brooks nor Des appear particularly tan.

So to recap, the only thing that is clear to me right now is that I'm going to need more wine for the remainder of this season.

Yeah, I don't get the confusion over the ring pic. We know Chris is going to pick out a ring. We know he will have a segment where he holds it and contemplates over the decision. We already know this even if the current ring pic is Zac.

Has anyone identified the location where Des and Chris are standing when both are dressed up like for a RC, and you can see sailboats beyond Des?

But to have that much of a contrast between Chris and Brooks FD rooms compared to Drew, that doesn't make sense. Again, according to past seasons, it does match more to a lcd room than a fd room.
