Something feels off to me also. With Brooks, there just giving too much away. I anticipated a different edit.. even if they want to tell the story of Brooks' doubt and can they come together in the end, why not really play up Drew or Chris. I rem seeing several Maderia SC of intimate body language/affection of Chris/Des date which they didn't show (they showed her looking bored for the first part of the date). Even w/o the Brooks spoiler, it looks like a slam dunk, so why highlight even more that he's her F1, when they usually throw suspicion off the F1. I'm sure the spoiler is correct given the multiple trusted sources on here, but my brain keeps saying Drew, Drew, Drew.

Because that will make the drama to come that much sweeter and more impactful. They show how far gone she is now, what a ledge she stands on right now, to break the audience's heart and fill them with dismay, as well. Whatever it is that will occur they're definitely showing how vulnerable Des is right now.

Sure, it's a love story, but they're also setting up more drama. And the way they did makes her situation seem quite precipitous.

That's sad because no matter what it will always look like Chris is her default guy. If Des was/is truly falling for Chris like she said she was (and I really think that only came after some coaching from CH) how come we get the infamous "the only thing keeping me here is you" obviously to Brooks?! And that would be even WORSE because they are even closer to FRC. Everyone knows that he is NOT her first choice and that is terrible thing to display to the audience. And Drew is out with Robert Mills retweeting gay remarks about him. There's just no way!

I guess I see some similarities to Ali/Roberto with Brooks - where its obvious but we don't know if Brooks will commit. As for the precedent of a lead revealing their feelings before FRC, Brad 2.0 did it with Emily at FDs. Emily told him she was falling for him and Brad told her the same thing. I remember at the time everyone thought that was "proof" that he was picking Chantal as well because it was also "too early". :greenman:

Which should make it pretty obvious who the F1 is. At least they're not showing bad things about Brooks. They're just showing that he's being a little slow to the finish line and she's galloping.

My SO came home later and actually asked to watch the Cloud 9 date with me! YAY! I loved it even more with him. He reminded me of something. He had to make me tell him ILY. I just didn't know how to because that's a serious statement. Once he got me to say it, I was his. Even tho I'm a girl, why can't a guy be pensive at the circumstance. Brooks is not a commitment phobe. He's just not someone whose going to throw that word around until he means it. Once he can feel and say it, he will be loyal. IMO .

They are also probably banking on some viewers now becoming skeptical of it being Brooks because it was just made so blatant. They want people to now say, oh well it can't be Brooks now, too obvious! lol Thus at the end when it is Brooks, they still in a round about way get to surprise everyone with the ending.

The only way to save it for Des and Chris to not be default would be for Brooks to come back confess his love AND then she still chooses Chris. But doubt she would do that because that everything she's been waiting for...her fairytale for Brooks to reveal that he loves her.

IMO, she is falling for Chris but its because he told her he loves her , she pretty much says so tonight. Its like when you were in HS and you found out a boy liked you so you started liking them! But its not real.

The fact that she can say she loves Brooks and knows that he his behind on his feeling, risking the hurt tell me its more real.
