I think he must leave kicking and screaming about it.
Exactly - It don't believe that Brooks is the one that leave.

relaxing wrote:great post Albean and seems like that fits. I will just be so bummed to not get to see a fantasy date and meet the parents with my favourite couple. It's disappointing to think it will be all emotionally wrought drama with them after Hometowns and we'll miss the happy lovey-Dovey stuff you usually get in the last 2 episodes.
I wil be bummed not to see a FD and the MTP date with him, too. Ah, it sucks. I so wanted to see him with her parents! I don't care so much about the lovey dovey stuff. I KNOW that the lovey dovey stuff is there. I like to see the drama caused by love.
I HOPE we see a MTP. There is no absolute proof that we don't get it. But if not I still want plenty of Brooks time. And if that isn't the actual dates, it means the emotionally wrought stuff. I hope he'll still get plenty of face-time somehow. Not sure how. It may really seem like he's gone at one point and that the show is carrying on, even to the producers . . . thus she coming out of left field, makes no sense stuff. As well as the, however, it was pretty obvious all along stuff.
Grrrrr. We may just be gypped of Brooks time and have to suffer and endure just Drew and Chris time. And miss out on the most entertaining times with Brooks, like the MTP. But then may expect some real Brooks time by the end.
It sucks and is cool at the same time. I hope it is only cool by the end.
Would she get engaged to him without him meeting her parents?
All I know is she says he better get down on one knee and propose after all this.
Oh, Brooks, Brooks, Brooks. What did you do? You were doing so well. You had her so hopeful. She thought she'd found the one. You crushed her. The one who comes back wins in the end. That's never been done before. In the end, just like in the preview, it all comes down to them. Des just wants us to watch the story of how it all comes about.

Sorry -the promo does not lead me to believe that Brooks decides to leave on his own as agentcurls said.
When the knock came on his door - he was not expecting anyone. Not for a date and not because he asked a producer to go call Des. JMO.
Oh and I don't know if anyone else leave. I guess we are talking about Drew here. That clip had so many VOs that it made scant sence.
But that is what they are positioning her for - to be alone at the end. Hence all those wonderful limos.

Yeah, me, too now. And I'm pretty sure it's because he's unsure or has cold feet. If they really love each other, though, if he really comes back because he loves her, it bodes very well. His feelings could be very sure now. The only thing that wouldn't bode well is if he came back before he was sure.

When the knock came on his door - he was not expecting anyone. Not for a date and not because he asked a producer to go call Des. JMO.

I didn't see where Brooks was surprised by someone knocking at the door. I think it's just someone coming to take him to meet up with Des for their date. She's clearly dressed for one at the pier. I don't think Brooks wants to leave but for some reason feels he must. It's the worst day of his life because he doesn't want to hurt Des. Afterwards he leaves in a limo. It's not usual but perhaps it was there for the date.

But doesn't this ultimately fit what Des is saying....
On a press call yesterday, USA Today reports that Des said, "Overall, the experience was definitely an emotional journey. There were a lot of surprises. Overall, I think it's a journey of love, and love isn't always going to be happy. There's going to be ups and downs."

I just don't see this. Mostly because Brooks has been so forthcoming in demonstrating his affection and being so open with her emotionally. He hasn't professed his love just yet, but given more time, I don't see anything stopping him from articulating this to her.

I don't think it's totally his choice, either. He obviously wants to fix things. So, I don't think it was totally (if any) his choice to leave. I've always said so.
He's definitely doing some kicking and screaming. A sign that he doesn't want to be in the situation he's in. He might feel bad for hurting her. He might later regret it and think twice, but I don't think he wanted the reaction he got.
"It's the worst day of my life." "There's nothing I can say". "Agh." And the look of loss in the limo.
I think Des has something to do with him going home. I think maybe she thinks she's doing the right thing based on what she wants. But she ends up choosing what she needs, which is him. :cutesmile!: Oooh, so freaking romantic. I think I'm going to burst.
The show itself is cluing us in that it's about Brooks and Des in the end by their attention to Brooks and Des in the preview, as well as how it comes down to two frames of them at the end.

Actually I didn't say that he was surprised because we only saw the back of his head. He appeared as though he was not expecting someone (neither Des nor any producers that he may have requested to take him to Des) at his door. His hair - not stylishly disheveled as usual but it was almost 'bed head' all untidy when he opened the door.
That is how I view that clip.
for the record I don't see that scene him telling her he has to go (for whatever reason) either. I never felt that even prior to knowing who BSG was.

Well, something sets her off that he regrets. Either it's reservations of some sort (which are probably just slight and just honest. They don't have to be serious). Or, like someone else said, something he can't help. Something at home. And he can't make up for it. And she is devastated. She wants to quit.
But that would not have much drama in between, so I hope it has more to do with feelings and emotions and not just because he has to go home for some reason.
