I guess I'm selfish because I'd love to see Drew as the next lead. I especially liked his dad and the the angel talk but his whole family is great.

I am torn: I definitely wanna see more of Drew, so if he's the next Bach, I will be so happy to see this beautiful young man on my screen. However, he will be scrutinized and criticized, and I don't think I can take that.
I love his dad! Very loving and affirming and good looking too :Smiley: Drew's niece and nephew love him too ( I noticed the smile on the baby's face when Drew held him), he will be a great dad one day.
And if Drew has the steamiest scene of the 3 fantasy suites, how could Des let him go at f3? I just don't get it. On the other hand, if Des was so in love with Brooks, then I prefer Drew to leave earlier. Ohhh, can we just skip Men Tell All and move on to FC ?

Why any backlash? Because she was honest about who she loves? I think it's refreshing! I hate how the leads keep it a secret for so long, as if they didn't know up until the last minute who they were going to choose. Maybe most don't know for sure until the last minute. Maybe Des is unique.

I hope that Brooks doesn't leave at all but instead the screencaps are just making it look that way. I like all three guys but after two weeks of hearing Des say she loves Brooks and now tonight that she wants Brooks to propose to her at the end ... without even blinking an eye ... I just don't see how it can be anyone but Brooks in the end. If Brooks leaves early or she sends Brooks away early, I guess that would be okay for either Drew or CHris to slide into F1. But if Brooks leaves on his own, anyone else is going to look like her default F1 and folks will be counting down the minutes before they break up.

I'd like to see either Drew or CHris as next Bachelor but after tonight's episode and the way Drew was presented ... I am betting he's the one.

I also thought the deleted scene at the end was adorable - with the quiz.  She thought he looked like a pancake guy and he says "what does that even mean"?

Thank goodness they showed the credits with Des and Drew. We have been robbed of so many of their moments during filming and they seemed like a real couple.  

totally! felt that the whole HTD episode with Des and Drew. We haven't really seen them interacting before and it was good to see.

The 2 guys in question according to US Weekly are Brooks and Drew. US Weekly says Brooks was the frontrunner going into hometown dates but then Desiree really connected with Drew on their HTD and so she started to feel conflicted between those 2 guys. The anonymous source from production telling US Weekly this also says there's a lot of drama ahead. The inside Bach/ette sources leaking to US Weekly tend to be accurate.

I don't have a lot of analysis to add because I haven't really been following the arc of the tabloids this season.

Back when I watched & posted more regularly, my single contribution to these boards was tabloid arc analysis, what stories were strategic leaks by production versus tabloids making crap up to punish the franchise for a lack of cooperation, etc. That doesn't by any means make me an authority or anything, so take this for how you will. Also bear in mind I've read Love_Me's spoilers and RS's spoilers but haven't kept careful tabs on where the sleuthers are. I also know next to nothing about any of the guys.

One more disclaimer: like I said above, I haven't really watched this season, and my limited tabloid reading has mostly been from US Weekly last week (the Desiree cover story) and this week.

One thing I was looking for in the Desiree cover story in US Weekly last week was whether any of the f4 guys was mentioned (they were not, which is a good thing) and if US Weekly had a line in there anywhere about how despite the jerks this season, Desiree is confident in/happy with her choice/how the season ended (there was not). The latter is a possible red flag, but it may also just be US Weekly doing a story in cooperation with NEXT Production that correlated with the airing of the episodes centered about right reasons/the lack thereof. Regardless, US Weekly, like all the other tabloids, knows the outcome of this season, as far as who, if anybody, is F1. They won't spoil it directly (well, secondary tabloids might, but only if they want to run an "already broken up" story, false or true), but you can pick up hints.

The fact that US Weekly even featured Desiree in the sidebar on the cover story after her cover story is probably an indication that her cover story issue sold pretty well, which is somewhat surprising but impressive considering what I think have been weak TV ratings.

As far as this latest US Weekly article, atem is right that it was only 2 or 3 paragraphs, quite short, and not a feature story (making it all the more noteworthy that US Weekly teased the story on its cover). However, in the space of that short piece, US Weekly managed to get in that Drew speaks fluent Italian and is a (former?) model. So, keeping in mind that my reading was probably somewhat filtered by the spoilers, my take from that short US Weekly story was:

1) Drew seemed to be getting the next Bachelor push (ladies, he speaks fluent Italian! And is a model!), which would also explain him getting the catch-up love story edit.

2) The fact that Chris S wasn't mentioned by US Weekly in a two horse race doesn't bode well for his relevance at the end of the season.

But that's just my take.

Thought this would be interesting to any Drew fans who missed cfck's posts who hasn't really posted until now this season but has brought us info on the various articles in previous season and has a lot of insight.
