NOOOOOOOO Juan Pablo doesn't even have the charisma!!! His personality was so bland in in Desiree's season. He's not as funny/humorous as Zak. Not as good looking as Drew. He's not entertaining. ABC goofed this season big time. :( :( :( No one cares if he's a soccer player, American culture don't even watch soccer.

On the other hand, we may not "recognize" him once the ABC "suits" give him a makeover. I'm sure he will also get English and elocution lessons. We did not see enough of him to assess his personality. JMHOFWIW

We barely know anything about him. It's almost like having a new person. That's why I'm excited for this season.

Yeah, seriously! Idk why everyone dislikes him.. we hardly know nothing about him. And people are forgetting that he didn't really grow up in the U.S. - people from different countries have different cultures and customs so the way he comes off isn't what a typical American is like. People are judging him on very little info and whats out there about him.

I'm looking forward to JuanPa myself... I only hope he is allowed to be himself, not what tptb make him into. So far they have a lousy track record of creating their leads into someone who is cared about at the end. Oooooh let the season begin!

Just thinking about the past 'foreign' guys who were 'groomed' bachelors by tptb and how their season turned out: Lorenzo (Italy), Jesse Palmer (Canada), Matt (England). Lorenzo gave Jennifer a family ring for their engagement; in less time than you could say Prince Lorenzo Borghese, the engagement was off and he was supposedly seeing the runner up Sadie which didn't last either - can we say promo for the family dog product line. Jesse Palmer did not get engaged to his final one but gave her an airline ticket to come visit him, needless to say that did not last long enough for the ticket to be used - can we say promo for Jesse's failed football career into some football media gigs and then a Canadian food show host. That leaves us with British Matt Grant. He chose actress Shayne Lamas. Like that union wasn't planned! Good promo for both careers neither of which went too far just the way of their engagement. Three strikes and you're out for their use of 'foreign' guys as the lead. So I am not getting too excited about JuanPa if tptb will be grooming him as he was promoed as a Venezuelan soccer player born in USA but raised in Venezuela. Not expecting too much with this upcoming season.

I guess I don't understand your theory. Many of the Bachelors were duds and not just the foreign born ones. Juan Pablo's got as good a chance as anyone else IMO.

I'm looking forward to next season. Everyone's been asking for someone new and Juan Pablo's almost new since we so seldom saw him on the show. :Nod:

Lol yeah.... like Ben, Brad, Bob, Jake, etc. ? Didn't work out for them.. look who some of them chose. It's not just a foreign thing.
