There's an edit cut toward the end where he's saying something negative on the audio, but you don't see his mouth, so there's a chance, he said something different in that setting. Also, he's enough of a prankster to choose to film it both ways. He above all seems clued in that they are producing an entertainment here, not making a documentary. BUT, on the surface, it presents as managing audience expectations for a finale proposal.

In the Neil Lane clip, is it my imagination or does jp have a red lump on his forehead? Maybe someone threw him into a wall before this scene to force him to film it.   Just kidding...a little...

That first picture of him show someone who is really feeling it and has found the perfect ring.  That conversation with Neil is really choppy.

The whole one-eye close, twisted mouth thing at about 31 sec. is so weird. Is a light shinning in his eye or what?

The only other time I recall him winking was in Nikki's song clip. He may have with other people in earlier episodes. I wasn't watching for it.
