Now to clarify, I am not defending Juan Pa. But I want to watch and make my mind up. What frustrates me is that things others have done and were attacked for are now used in reverse against Juan Pa.

ABC announces three 'Bachelor' specials to kick off in 'Juan-uary' -- EXCLUSIVE

We are just a little over a month away from 2014, and more importantly, Juan-uary, when sexy soccer player Juan Pablo Galavis starts his (hopefully shirtless) journey to find love. Juan Pablo’s season of The Bachelor will premiere on Monday, Jan. 6 at 8 p.m. on ABC. But just in case you can’t wait that long to get your J.P. fix — which we completely understand — ABC has told us exclusively that they have a few other treats planned for their trusty viewers. It looks like Juan-uary comes complete with three hour-long Bachelor specials.


First up, on Sunday, Jan. 5 at 8 p.m., catch The Bachelor: Countdown to Juan Pablo and get an inside look at Juan Pablo’s life in Miami, and meet his 4-year-old daughter, Camila. The special will also offer a behind-the-scenes look at the casting process for hit show, as well as an introduction to a handful of the lucky ladies who will be fighting for Juan Pablo’s heart.

And after Juan Pablo’s season kicks off, ABC will air a second special at 8 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 12. The Bachelor: Behind the Scenes will follow Bachelor cast and crew as they crash premiere viewing parties and share extended footage of Juan Pablo’s women, both those he handed a rose, and the ladies who only got a glimpse of the stud before being sent home. The special also looks in on Bachelor production as they create a “winter wonderland” fantasy date, and offers more insight on the woman Juan Pablo chose for his first one-on-one.

Finally, ABC’s third special, The Bachelor: Bachelor Love Stories will air Sunday, Jan. 19 at 8 p.m. and catch you up on all the love stories you’ve watched through the years. From Desiree and Chris to Jason and Molly, we’ll find out how the relationships are holding up. And, of course, we’ll catch up with the show’s biggest success story, Trista and Ryan, as they celebrate their 10th anniversary with a vow renewal ceremony (and if we know Ryan, a poem).

Last but certainly not least, don’t miss The Bachelor: Sean and Catherine’s Wedding on Sunday, Jan. 26 at 8 p.m. And just like that, all of your Juan-uary Sundays are booked. You’re welcome.

ITA, umngirl.  I also think it's strange given falling viewership that ABC will dedicate so much prime time to this franchise. :greenman:

Still shaking my head at why they did not choose Zak, or better still Drew!!! unless they turned them down.  Of course so often the lead gets raked over the coals so I guess I did not really want that for any of my favorite guys....I'll just have to be content to hear about them on twitter etc.  But still as a die hard Ben fan, I loved seeing him on my screen each week even as he tore my heart by choosing Courtney.  Looks like Nikki will give CR a run for her money.  I hope she's at least as entertaining.
