Because, all Juan Pablo is to the show is the sexy Latin. They aren't letting people get to know any of the guys. The only person we really are getting to know are Chris and Zak. You would think he was in the final 2.

That's because right now they are editing the show for both of them to be the next lead. Then they will see which one has a bigger fanbase.

zak is funny and entertaining but i can't see them giving him the lead. he's more of the court jester type not the romantic hero. i want to see more of the sexy latin. i think chris will be the lead if he wants it or drew. i wouldn't be surprised if chris passes it up and drew takes it.

i have no idea why they are hiding drew but des seems to pick him early in RCs so he is definitely on her radar. one thing i've noticed in more recent seasons is that they tend to focus in quite heavily on a few people per episode and basically ignore the rest. then, the next week they focus in heavily on a few others and ignore who they may have featured heavily the week before. i don't think it's a very good way of editing. it seems really unbalanced to me. drew was on screen a lot in epi 1 and has hardly been seen since.

Zak is the only one with a building storyline to me. He's had something for each episode. Well, and sort of Chris.

If the show cuts her kiss with Drew AGAIN, what the heck does that mean?

I agree with everyone above about the edit. I feel like I am coming in half way through conversations...they give little back story on things like Juan Paul has a daughter, why everyone basically hates Ben (besides the fact that he's cheesy), what makes everyone hate James, although maybe they'll tell that next week...they spend time on goofy stuff like Brian and his gf and she has dates with a bunch of guys who get cut early on... Oh, and Zack who seems like a perfectly nice guy who is normal and probably there "for the right reasons" goes but Bryden who wants to go stays...WTF is wrong with this edit??? Note to TPTB We hate your trumped up dramas...just tell the story for God's sake.

atem, i don't know. the stuff with drew is a complete mystery. if they did go with zak for the next bachelor it would be a hoot. he does seem to have his share of fans. i read an article that zak has a masters in politics & philosophy and he is a congressional liaison to the senate. boy is smart!

I do agree that Zak comes across as a really nice guy. However, I suspect TPTB will go with whichever "leftover" bachelor is better looking. Chris is a lot more attractive than Zak. JMHO

This season the producers are having to work overtime trying to fill up 2 hours each week. There must not be anything interesting going on behind the scenes, so they are making mountains out of mole hills.

To me, Bryden does not appear to understand how this whole Bachelorette thing works, so he is just putty in their hands. So, for the added drama, they made him think that he HAD to go interrupt Des' date and tell her that he is leaving. And I still don't think that he left because he had a girlfriend back home.

Getting the second 1-on-1 date of the season with Des just made things that much harder for him too. I don't think that he can handle this show's format of sharing Des with all the other guys, and it just isn't something that he is comfortable with. I am pretty sure that Bryden knows that Des has shared a kiss with almost every guy there, even some guys that she has no real interest in. So, he probably wasn't feeling all that special anymore and would rather just leave on his own - and not wait around until he is cut at one of the next RCs.
