My post had nothing to do with race...AT ALL. I am not Filipino and I have no idea why you would assume that it had any racial overtones. Honestly.

To explain further, not that I should HAVE to, I was directing my post more toward the inclination that Sean's conservative ways will not be commensurate with Cat's open views about relationships. I think Cat is a doll -- it's Sean that I question.

Again....not sure why I should have to legitimize my opinions. Kinda mad at myself that I did!! Won't listen and react to you again.

Then it this is a joke at Sean. maybe this could not be on the fan section? I love your humour, but maybe in the non-fan section it would be better received?

Honestly, I'm a Filipino and I hate to say I was offended. I'm sorry but I have to say it and if I offended anyone here with my post let me know too and I would apologize without hesitation. I always find humor in everything and I loved LAKERGURL humor too and never been offended. I saw a lot of it here but never been offended not until I saw your post. It has a racial overtones but its all forgiven Pointing fingers and signaling a person to come closer with a finger is offensive in our culture. We felt like we are dogs or animals in doing that .....worst Whistling to get a persons attention is very offensive in our culture. Just FYI...out of topic but probably good to know and learning from each other and having friends here is not a crime :Smiley:

Okay, I get it now... You weren't insulting Cat's race, but her taste in men specifically and conservative men in general. Thanks for clarifying!

Not asking you to legitimize your opinion. I appreciate humor but I found your post to be a bit insensitive and in poor taste and apparently, so did others. It's okay. No hard feelings on my part. :Smiley:

Now THAT is what I call a passive aggressive hater! And "rainconnection" had the gall to call ME "white trash"????

Why of course YES! melisma.. Why would you temper your reaction?

If people were prepared to give it, then they should be able to take it.
I don't understand why there is only one way of thinking, posting, or joking around these boards. When one posts a different opinion, people are up in arms as if the poster committed blasphemy.
The subject of the boards is about a couple who met on a TV dating show. This subject cannot be deemed as a serious matter. Our lives are not affected by them-- and we do not mean anything to them as well. The only time they needed us was when they were dialing for DWTS dollars and needed our help. We are just a revenue stream for these people. Once our usefulness ($$$) has dried up for them, they would be less accomodating as well. So a joke, an affront, even an insult directed to the couple is just that-- just making jolly.

Does anyone here know how to block someone from sending a PM??? "rainconnection" cannot seem to post here in this thread, but she finds it empowering to PM me and constantly refer to me as "white trash". I find that to be slanderous and insulting, especially since she cannot find the guts to say it publicly!!

Wondering....is "white trash" a racist slur?? Assuredly, this cannot be a case of being naive about another's nationality.
