yes, i just knew from his eyes and smile, that he really is a gentle soul....after all these 25 seasons of fiasco (Except Jash), bring back my Ryan Sutter : former athlete, calm-collected, not to mention romantic (poetry!..oh i died..) and stupid-hot!! :Drool:. Definetely a keeper

can we also appreciate the fact that his handwriting also quite readable, and he gave honest and comprehensive answers. He seems a smart and good communicator.

Meet Chris Siegfried, Seattle's latest 'Bachelorette' contestant

"The Bachelorette" is back -- and this season, there's a hometown hero for Seattleites to cheer on.

Desiree Hartsock won the nation over as a favorite contestant on last season's "Bachelor," but ultimately, she lost to Seattleite Catherine Giudici. Now, she's back on primetime with a deep field of potential suitor vying for her affection. Among them is Chris Siegfried, a mortgage broker originally from McMinneville, Oregon, who now lists his residence as Seattle.

Siegfried, who has done some modeling, is an athlete who was drafted as a pitcher for the Chicago Cubs' minor league team in 2007, but left the game in 2011. A graduate of the University of Portland, Siegfried lists the Pacific Northwest's weather as his favorite, and notes that the Puget Sound is the most romantic place on earth.

According to King County voter registration information, Siegfried is a Ballard resident. He also says he used to write poetry while on the road with the Cubs.

Aside from the fact that he's a local guy, is Siegfried really worth keeping an eye on in such a big pool of contestants? Apparently so; according to spoilers from Reality Steve, Siegfried will make it at least the bottom four, because Hartsock was spotted in Oregon on the season's "hometown date" episode.

Since 27th May seems 2 decades away, Lets take a moment to appreciate what Chris had said in his bio :

Q : What do you hope to get out of participating in this television show?
A : I hope to gain experience I have never sought out before and to potentially meet the girl I could spend the rest of my life with. I know that it is a short time to make such a serious decision, but am willing to see where this takes me!

Just in case you need a comparison with the one of *BF`s :

I feel it is a great experience. I acknowledge the reality that I may not fall in love. However, crazy things have happened. As in, you never know. Maybe I do. That's an okay bet for me. Nothing to lose -- everything to gain. I hope to make some friends along the way. If I am here, I might as well connect with others.

Let me give mad props to Ziggy, that he can articulate well his opinion in 2 sentences. I love that he addresses two of the most important things of this show :
- He is open to the potential meeting his future wife (not only a simple-okay chance to fall in love, for God`s sake!! )
- He addresses the viewer`s skepticism for anyone coming on this show, that he realize that it is such a short time, but he is willing to take the chance.
in addition, he is not emphasizing to make friends..(it will come naturally, you know, if you are a good person.. )

Chris seems like a stand up guy and the ladies will be so happy Des did not pick him, so they have a chance. If no one snaps him up maybe he will be the next bachelor.

The ones I know pronounce it Sig (rhymes with fig) freed (past tense of free).
