Peta said she expected at least one 9 as well. It's not just Sean saying these things about scores and critiques, generally it's Peta and he just goes along with it. And if they thought it was their best dance, why not expect their best score? I can never tell if the judges' scores are based on the individual's progress and performance, or based on comparing them to the other competitors so perhaps they can't either. Well, Peta seems to think that. And in the OTRC interview, he said they were HOPING for a 9 and now Peta expects one if they make it to next week. Ain't no shame in setting high expectations if you ask me.

It's dillusional.... as the guy just can't dance... and whether it be Sean or Peta...they just look silly as everybody that has seen the guy dance knows that he's not an 8 or 9 dancer... period. Like I said, the judges overscoring them has given them illusions of entitlement. No friggin way did he deserve a 9 and was on par with any of the other dancers who got 9's last night from any of the judges... and that's Kelli, Zenday and Ali. They got their heads up their butts if they think they're deserving of getting a 9.

9??? What universe do they live on? Honestly, I've watched it 4 or 5 times and I don't even know how they scored it an 8. Where was his samba content? At least Ingo put some lead steps in there. Sean stood around flailing his arms like an airplane propeller, twirling Peta like a top, feeling her up a couple of times and then pulling her like a broom across the floor. That's a 9?!

And, he should fire his publicist for letting him say those things. Who jokes "I'm gonna kick a puppy"? That's not funny in any way.

I like your tulips. Makes me want to go buy some today. It's a saying in Texas. It's saying I'm so frustrated that I would do the most unexpected thing. He's not a puppy kicker and I think we should save that disdain for the real puppy kickers out there. Not the best choice of words, but often he is so guarded with his words it reveals zip, so let him talk. Saying he could kick a puppy is more in his lingo then calling Cat a "dime piece". That is not a Texas saying and was the odd thing out he said IMO.

He doesn't deserve a 9 compared to Kellie for example. But I'm wondering about what umngirl said. Are they scoring him based on his personal progress or against the others? I did think that was his best dance, but a 6 or 7 compared to Kellie or Zendaya.

I didn't realize it's a Texas saying. Even though he's not a puppy kicker, why anyone would use that saying as an expression of doing the least unexpected thing is still baffling to me. But, then he says alot of things I don't get. :Smiley:

As for his personal progress, yes I think it's his best dance so far, and I'd have scored it a 6 or 7.

Does it really matter if it's a saying in Texas? Has he never left the state to know that saying crap like that isn't acceptable to others? Poor excuse if you ask me, and just makes him sound like a bigger dolt. Peta made him say it..... his agent made him do it..... the producers want him to flirt with Tristan and Bruno..... MF made him pretend he was confused who to pick.....those aren't excuses....it says that he can't even think for himself. Not very manly IMO

Scoring shouldn't be based on effort or improvement... if they did, Zendaya and Kelli's score would be dropping cuz they're still the same level - which is amazing from night one - and Andy would be getting 9's.

He is just so much like Jake Pavelka when it comes to overestimating his dancing prowess (and the arrogance and the phoniness too,
2 peas in a pod). Jake was thinking of actually partnering with Chelsie Hightower to compete professionally.

A nine? hahahahahaha. He is lucky he didnt get a five with that horrible Samba, if he is not the Bachelor, that rumba is 6 at the most.

I wonder what Jake Pavelka did with his DWTS money. He was paid a hefty amount too.

As awkward as it can be watching him dance sometimes, the pay is unlike anything he will ever see again in his lifetime. So that would be the only positive I can think of. He can dance his way (terribly) to the bank. giggling

Exactly. He served his purpose on the show and he got a pilot out of it on ABC no less. But I will admit seeing the judges faces if he lasts another week would be priceless. IF he does survive another week, he will be going home soon enough. It's pretty obvious who the top four are and they will be the ones in the semi-finals (finals if there's no double elimination).
