Another sad moment in the heartland of America. A shooting in a church in a small rural Texas town and the slaughter of good people just there to worship.
This ugliness needs to be stop. So heartbreaking to see and hear about yet an other mass shooting and add to the rising list.
Searching for answers, and where do we go as a country from here.
All my heartfelt prayers and love go out to these suffering families.

When I read that last night, I asked the Universe, the Divine up above, anyone who would listen, we need help, serious help.

I cannot imagine the pain families go through. All I can do is pray that memories will hold them together and they be blessed with strength to carry on. RIP to all who experienced this horrible tragic death.

I’ve never been on this thread before but since the majority of posters on this forum are women I thought you might be interested in this.

And NO it’s not the man - it’s the woman - Jacinda Ardern - and that’s her partner. They are not married and she’s “shacked up” with him for years and guess what..... we are all totally cool with it.

Another fact - she’s actually our third female Prime Minister.

And another fact - New Zealand was the first country in the world to give women the vote.

I’m so very proud to be part of a country where the biggest wallet doesn’t win, where the loudest most obnoxious voice doesn’t dominate, and where politicians don’t prey on the fears and insecurities of the disillusioned.

I’m not sure what the future holds for NZ - we have had a change in the governing political party after our recent election (although our left and right are more closely aligned than most countries) but I am sure that there are many wonderful female role models for our further generations of strong independent women to come - my daughter included.

And just for fun... here is a photo of our PM giving Lorde a big hug for winning Peoples Choice Award.

This was in Markham Ontario which is within the Toronto area. Moose was last seen Saturday 3pm when they lost track. Hopefully he headed back where he came from, probably north somewhere.
