Yup, I guess I am clueless. He has been scheduled for this trip for over a year. I swear I heard Calgary at some point. Or it was two separate trips to Canada and one was canceled. He travels so much, I do get lost. I like to say that sometimes my blond roots come out.

This reminds me of a funny story. Canada is a huge country. People from other countries always say, oh your from Canada, I have a friend from Canada, oh yeah where?, Calgary. Ok that's a million miles away, 5 hours by plane. It happens all the time.

So we're in Italy. We are having a nightmare trying to find the right bus to take us back to our village. Take this bus, that bus, no that bus. My BIL who is Italian, and does not have a good temper, went crazy on the last bus driver. WTH is wrong with you people. We've been told the incorrect information so many times. Sending us here there and everywhere. The nice young bus driver says, he's finished his shift, and is driving right by our village. He'll take us. (Ok maybe sometimes it's worth it to act like a lunatic)

So we pile on the bus. He apologizes to the bus driver. The bus driver asks, where are you from. We're Canadian, oh I have realtives in Canada, here we go right? Oh really, where? I have an uncle near Niagara Falls. This kids, uncle is my BIL's best friend. They worked together for 30 yrs.

We used to live in Belleville. That's where my dh & I met, got married, and had our 2 boys.

I had a similar experience when I left Florida to move to Texas for college. Everyone would tell me they had been to Florida and I would ask where it was 90% of the time, oh we went to Disney World. It was only 4 hours away, but I understand. I would laugh and say there was a lot of the state besides that.

Wow, bad news for the famous Toronto Mayor, Rob Ford. This is awful news for his supporters and the city of Toronto. He's a fighter that's for sure.

Thoughts are with his wife children and family and I hope the coming weeks go as good as can be expected.

Wow, those are incredibly rare. One of my friends fathers had this and has survived now for over five years, so there are success stories.

Good to know stuckinsc. I did some reading up on it, and learned just how rare it is. He became famous around the world, for other reasons, but now, in the middle of a campaign he has been dealt these cards. You never know how your life can change in a matter of minutes.
