Many fans were hoping that Scottsdale favorite J.P. Rosenbaum would get another 1-on-1 date with Ashley Hebert on ABC’s The Bachelorette 2011 Monday night, but that wasn’t the case. J.P. went on the Muay Thai boxing date with seven other bachelors, and due to Ames heading to the hospital, little of J.P. was shown. However, Ashley and J.P. still gave “Team Cupcake” fans plenty of reason to root for them in Monday’s episode.

The perfect setting for romance

As the guys settled into their villa at the beginning of The Bachelorette, J.P. talked about how he and Ashley have had their best moments when it’s just the two of them, and that Thailand is a prime spot for romance. He says it’s peaceful, beautiful and exotic, and if you can’t find romance in that environment, you’re hopeless.

An electric chemistry with J.P.

During the cocktail party, Hebert was struggling with her emotions and the events of the past few days. She tries to spend time with each of the guys, but she struggles with most of them. With J.P., however, the chemistry seems to be electric and comforting to her at first. J.P. is ever the gentleman and seems to manage Ashley’s emotions and insecurities very well, which both relieved her and made her realize she is not being fair to many of the guys there.

Envisioning a future together

Ashley and J.P. step away from the crowd, and they snuggle on a bench. She asks if J.P. can see the two of them together in the future, in a normal, everyday life. He says, “Yeah, I kinda feel that’s how it is now.” He adds, “This is the time that I love – the 1-on-1’s are so real, this is what I want.” Ashley has her legs crossed over on top of J.P.’s, and she says “you’re so cute” while he responds, “thanks, you look beautiful by the way” and they grin at one another with an adorable chemistry.

J.P. is strong enough to handle it

J.P. admits he felt a bout of jealousy as Ashley picked up Ben F. for their date, and he knows it’s going to get harder. He tells her, however, “I’m strong enough, I can handle it, and right now it just doesn’t really feel like there’s anyone else.” He wraps up by saying, “So yeah, I can see it” in response to her question asking if he could see them together in the future.

Ashley is scared of being hurt

Ashley’s body language indicates she is feeling anxious, so J.P. asks “what’s going on in that head?” She shares with the camera that she likes J.P. a lot and she wants him to know that what she feels for him is real, she wants him there, but she is scared to get hurt. She is still thinking about Bentley and it is preventing her from embracing what is developing with J.P.

J.P. Rosenbaum is already the favorite pick for many fans this season onThe Bachelorette, and tonight did nothing to dim that feeling. Ashley and J.P. continue to connect easily and seem to be developing a hot chemistry, and he easily earned another rose.

I had no idea what that whole conversation was even about? It seemed TPTB cut out every second word so nothing made sense. This ep pretty much sucked.

Yeah, I didn't understand it either, but then I was too busy :Woah-hoo: that we were actually getting to see some of the Cupcake!

I know!!! And if you watch when the camera cut from one angle to another, they were always in a different position (ok...that sounded bad!). Spliced and diced to death...

The thought I had was that they kept switching the positions so the casual view wouldn't realize it was JP she was making eyes at. Unless you were watching very closely, or replayed it several times as I did, you wouldn't realize that no matter which side JP was on, that is where she was looking.
