Not sure I would say self-deprecation is indicative of emotional intelligence but certainly (at least in my opinion) the ability to laugh with oneself and see one's own human-ness is.

True. I don't know her enough to know if she uses self-dpracation to elicit trust or neutralize or resolve conflict.

That is my fear for them, not Peta or another woman. Maybe it is good they are discovering it now and they realize if their love is more important than being on the spotlight. Maybe all the Hollywood lifestyle that they are experiencing now will make them realize it is not worth losing the love of your life for. And if the gravity of Hollywood is greater, then we know it is not meant to be.

It seems that Catherine is trying to associate herself with those reality stars (I haven't seen this show). Did not see that coming. :shocked!:

I feel like a downer because from my optimism to being uneasy about their relationship. hissyfit

I wish they will spend time with their families. I am hoping during the Easter holiday. This couple needs it. I don't buy about Shay not liking Catherine. If that was the case we would have seen that played out during the family visit. Shay has her reasons for not doing her blog but not because of her dislike for Cat.

If it makes you feel better I used to think DOOM everytime Ashley mentioned on twitter how much she loved LA, every time she did a photo shoot or was excited about doing a segment on E or said how much she loved the "Real Housewives"(yes, she loves it too). It took me about 6 mos to realize - she loved JP, she just liked these other things.

I think the track record of the show coupled with the disastrous ending to the Emily/Jef thing, who seemed to say all the right things and kind of snowed the public completely, it's easy to feel uneasy.

Granted this one could go either way - no way for us to know, but, the fact that they have already agreed to a televised wedding and keep reiterating that they want it soon, is a pretty good sign that they're serious about this. We don't hear that very often.

Catherine is a big Real Housewives and by associate Vanderpump Rules fan. I bet she's excited these people even know who she is. If she hangs out with them from time to time I don't see it as a big deal.

What I find interesting is that they have been in L.A. but have not been papped yet. Maybe they are keeping to more low key places or better yet, not tipping off the paps of their every move like some people have in the past.

Huh? Not sure what you mean.

For what it's worth, I don't believe Emily & Jeff were ever really anything more than photo ops and saying the right thing at the time. I saw them as more like a DeAnna/Jesse type. I have no idea if Sean & Catherine have what it takes but do see them as a real couple with true feelings for each other and not just a had to pick someone choice.
