The Bachelorette 9 - Speculation/Spoilers - Discussion

So how many of the guys are models? I dont like that. It seems like they needed to cast guys so fast, that they just went to a bunch of casting agencies and grabbed them. Is is this way every Bachelorette season?

I'm not sure. But, looking at Brook's bio from his job, he does it just for extra money. He seems to like to do adventureous type things and those aren't cheap. Sean was/is a model, so I don't see the big deal.

Usually they have a bank of prospectives they can go with, if they have not been chosen for a specific season, to fish from or they used to.
The thing is with a cast person who has more than 15 minutes of fame aspirations(think models/actors/actresses), they are more willing to "work" with TPTB. Getting a gig like Harlequin covers is a nice boon for playing nice with TPTB and going along with their scripting.

Any reason to think they might be headed to Phoenix for filming anytime soon? I see they are listed on the following website as having obtained a permit this year. Doesn't show as "currently in production" though so don't know if they just pull early permits in case of HTDs or if they are seriously heading there.

I am not sure peppermom, but thanks for the heads up. Mr Write found that the tweet from that girl about her step dad indicates a visit to Atlantic City's boardwalk. Is there a way for you to check that out?

I think the boardwalk in question from the other night was probably the Santa Monica Boardwalk which could have been the location of an evening portion of a date.

That's true. I think Mr Write thought it could be Atlantic City due to where the girl was twittering from a place in NJ.

The Revel is very nice, I have been there several times.
Should be very empty too-- as business has been extremely poor there since opening, so filming and crew should not be such an inconvenience for those choosing to recreate there during this horrible spring storm. Promo will help bring some much needed $$ to AC and Revel specifically.

That's cool that you have been there. I saw some articles and it's a gorgeous place. Too bad the weather won't be all that great.

^^It is too bad about the weather, but in the northeast you can never count on good weather until May (sometimes in March it gets a little warmer, but it's never reliable). It is good PR for Atlantic City, though, and will air in June when people will be thinking about heading to the shore.
