I was there right out of college and of course spent some time in the Houfbrauehaus(sp?) which is a famous beer tavern which is hundreds of years old. I still have a big glass mug from there. If I remember correctly, Munich is deep in Bavaria with lots of charming cottages etc. Also beautiful forests along the drive into the city? It was awhile ago and I might be mixing it up with other stops LOL
I think the town square is a good possibility as well. I also think some filming was done at Max-Joseph-Platz. The opera and ballet house are located there.

That would be a spectacular follow up to those Dodgeball unis.

Is this the first time the show has traveled to Germany?

I don't ever remember them going to Germany. If they did, it might have been during either Travis's season (where they were based in Paris) or in Lorenzo's season (which was filmed in Rome/Italy).

Not that I recall. That's why I was hoping there was a place a person could go and see a list of all the places they went. I bet that would be a looong project, because there are so many seasons!
Seems that RS does know, but won't be doing another blog until next week.

LOL, well, Emily's guys had kilts so Lederhosen seems quite fitting. It will be an improvement over the dodgeball unis.

Would today or tomorrow be the day for the RC?

There are several cafes in Marienplatz that overlook the clock tower - they'd be great for a 1-1 date or some SQT because out the window you'd see the clock...whereas eating off the square you'd not actually see it without shooting "up" to get it.
The English Gardens would be another great place for a date - they could do something physical (soccer - that's huge there...heck, going to the relatively new soccer stadium outside Munich could be another possibility) or biking or something else active in the gardens or on the trails or show Des there walking/running/thinking and then do a date in a biergarten like the Chinese/Pagoda one there in the English Gardens.
I agree about Neuschwanstein being highly likely, especially given the weather. Many of the other things I was thinking of (boats to other cute little very stereotypical German towns/villages on lakes near Munich, etc.) seem unlikely given that it's still very cold right now.
Ironically my phone keeps telling me - time/weather/etc. that I'm in Munich - it started right after good friends said they were going to visit their kids and my best friends (who are German) who live in Munich the middle of last week. I had to laugh when things started leaking saying they're taping there!
Munich is one place I know well and should be able to help with if we end up with SC's we're trying to place. I go often!

Do we have any inkling where they might head next (Mr. Write?)?
This way I can look at cams... nothing better to do while waiting on news!
