Looks like we haven't seen the last of Desiree!

The fan favorite from the current Bachelor (who was shockingly booted by Sean Lowe) is in final talks to become the next Bachelorette, sources confirm to E! News exclusively.

While nothing is official, we are told the deal with Desiree is "close" and an announcement is expected within the next couple of weeks. Production is scheduled to begin next month.

Three other women from the current Bachelor season have been in the running: AshLee (who just got eliminated after the hometown dates), Sarah and Lesley M., according to our show insiders.

Desiree won over many Bachelor fans this season, and her elimination was one of the most shocking in the show's history. Many considered her to be the frontrunner.

"I love love and I love to love," Desiree told us at the taping for the Women Tell All special, which airs this Monday on ABC. "And I honestly I can't wait for that moment to fall in love again. And I don't know, I'm just waiting on that." When asked if we'll see her on TV again, she replied: "I live day to day and whatever comes tomorrow comes. And if it happens to be on TV, you'll see me again."

I was just about to post the exact same thing. ^^^^

If you remember last week I wasn't 100% sure if Lindsay would be the next Bachelorette.

Well, obviously she is out of the running. I am not sure why or when they decided against making her the lead.

What I do know from several sources is that Desiree will be the next Bachelorette! One of those sources said the deal has already been finalized.

Yay! I'm so super excited for her as she was my favorite from the first night. I would have been happy with Lesley or Sarah too though.

Now, find some men worthy of her and I'll be a happy camper. And keep her brother far far away from this season. She doesn't deserve his crap!

Laughing, find a great partner for "The Amazing Race" while you are at it. DWTS...nope ...doesn't interest me, at all.

Unfortunately, AR is on CBS and DWTS is on ABC. Networks will always sign them up for other shows on the same network....hence, bachelors and bettes on DWTS. Too bad because I would have loved to see Sean and Catherine on AR. That would have been a bonding experience and have given us an insight into the relationship. I think they would have been a hoot!!!


You could be the juiciest, most ripe peach, but there is still going to be someone who doesn't like peaches.
